I'm very excited cause she looks fun to play and looks good but i'm a bit concerned about her beign designed for toplane. Mostly because toplane is not a very popular role so i have hard time seeing current version of Rito designing her to be inherently less popular becuase of her role.

Think of her as the ultimate "fuck you" to Vayne top.

“So we needed to make sure we found a new approach. One of the perspectives we haven’t explored is someone who’s amazed by everything—even the little things like the feeling of grass or the smell of the ocean. Things we normally ignore because, to us, they’re so mundane.”

    Errr...

    neeko?

We discussed this in the meeting for the article. Neeko is amazed by life. People, mainly. She's curious about them and who they are. But not about things like the smell of dirt or the warmth of the sun. That's what the team wanted to explore.

Sorry if I didn't make that clearer!

And that’s when the team realized that they needed to give Gwen the tools toactually force enemies to play her game.

aaaaaaaaaa typos buggs me so much

nice read as always, always fun to see insights on character development

Oof I missed this when I checked the staging.

Finally, someone at Riot understands what we want. A “fuck you” to Vayne top, it’s perfect.

Riot Maxw3ll and Stashu know what players want.

That whole section of the article gave deja vu to Lilia's article.

Almost like I wrote it...

what about lilia ?! I mean she feels like shes in the clouds all the time

Lillia is a sweet bb angel and I would die for her (as an aside, /u/riotmaxw3ll also worked on her).

But similar to Neeko, her amazement is less new-to-life and more blooming confidence.

I don't want to speak on behalf of that team, so I can't really say more with confidence.

Sorry, I like the article but I really don't get this response. I think he's saying the concept of "fascinated by everything" gives deja vu to what was described in Lilia's article, not that the style of writing felt similar.

Mmm that was my bad for misunderstanding!

I think Lillia's fascination is less "wow these things are new and exciting to me!" and more internal growth and finding her own confidence. Riot Maxw3ll commented on it elsewhere in this thread, and he worked on both champs, so he's much more knowledgeable about it than I am.
