New Decks for New Players!
If you're a brand new player or someone who's less than a month into your collection, the new starter decks that were added in 2.11 actually give you a lot of flexibility in what strategies you can quickly build towards, especially with respect to Aggro and Control.
The two most important ones are certainly Bilge/Demacia Scouts and Nox/P&Z Burn. The two of these decks, in addition to the Spider Aggro deck, give you the ability to quickly build out:
Pirate Burn
MF/Quinn Scouts
Noxus P&Z Burn Aggro
Noxus P&Z Control (it's a slow burn deck) -> Bilge Noxus Control
These also have the benefit of giving you a bunch of generally good spells in these regions, which makes the New-Player experience much more diverse and less focused on stat piles like Freljord Demacia 6-Champ.
You can also get into other slow strategies thanks to the Targon Yasuo deck. This deck has a lot of good singles in it to get you started on building out Ionia decks or Targon decks.
The meta right now is very vanilla and isn't very complex. Now that everything is basic and all these new decks are available, now is the best time to start playing LoR if you were on the fence or just not very committed to building your first decks.
