How Often Do You Think The Game Will Patch?

Title. Pretty new to CCGs but i’m wondering if it would likely be a biweekly schedule or something different

This answers a lot of questions I've seen floating around and well some I had personally as well. Thanks for taking the time to clear it up! Enjoy the Holiday break and looking forward to a fun 2020 :)

You're welcome! Thank you for your support :) 2020 is going to be awesome.

They have confirmed monthly balance patches and a new set every 4 months.

There is conversations happening about “mini sets” (I assume shadowerse style?) being introduced if the 4 month cycles feels too long but nothing communicated yet.

I can take the guesswork out of this! A lot of the answers in the thread are solid, though.

    1. Our release process will have us pushing out a new build every two weeks, but a lot of those will likely be bug focused. We want to try to balance "always improve the game" with "don't overwhelm players with too much change." So the technical answer to your question is "Every two weeks", but maybe not in the way you were thinking
    2. We will start with monthly Balance patches, and we'll adjust as we learn. For example, we have different flavors of balance patches we want to try based on the ranked season cadence.
    3. Sets will come out every 4 months, with the timer beginning on Launch. Out of habit I had typed the actual day we're targeting, but had to erase it. Close call! That would have been bad, we're not ready to commit to that publicly yet :)

The idea of mini-sets are really exciting to us, but they won't be happening any time soon. The reason is quite simple - We put a LOT into our sets - From the narrative to the design to the illustrations to the animations and EVERYTHING in-between, the only way we could fit in mini-sets right now is if we did one of the following:

-Increase the time between sets to more than 4 months

-Decrease the quality of our sets by rushing different parts of our pipeline

    -Crunch everyone

-Reduce the numbers of cards in future sets, and use those slots to make mini-sets

Spoiler: We don't like any of those options. So in 2020 we're going to focus on building the muscle of making amazing sets, and then once we're nailing that we can re-visit the idea in the future.
