It's Jasensational, and I brought yasuo to the top 16 NA, AMA

Hey guys, what's up. I'm Jasensational. I lost in the top 16 in the Momuments of Power seasonal tournament; you might have saw my last two games featured on the main broadcast from Riot's stream. Saw people wanting decklists so I will post them below. In the meantime, you might be curious as to why I brought my decks and such.

My Lineup

My lineup was prepared so that I would have favorables against FtR, Fearsomes, most aggro matchups, Taum Raka, and potentially Go Hard. I would ban Draven EZ first, and then Fiora Shen second.

Ionia FtR benefits from having cards such as deny to stop opposing [Harrowings], [Atrocities], [Vengeances], and [Ruiminations], which makes it favorable in other FtR mirrors, especially if the opponent has a SI FtR deck. In addition, it has extra ramp and Minah which adds to the matchup.

Yasuo is where things got extra spicy. With the help of [Katarina], you can race aggressive decks or slow decks that lack great removal down with quick attackers. FtR decks will have a hard time killing Katarina with cards like avalanche, making the level up condition really easy. Once Katarina is leveled, you play big attackers like [Legion General] and [Fae Bladetwirler] to close out the game. For more aggressive decks, cards like Concussive Palm and Arachnoid Sentry help to stall out the game while buffing your [Fae Bladetwirlers]

Targon Heimer was a flex spot, and I was debating on what deck I could bring in this slot that would complement my matchups. I thought of bringing Go Hard, Fiora Shen, or Fearsomes in it's place, but I ended up with this list. You might notice that it is very similar to Draven EZ in cards and playstyle. While I think Draven EZ is objectively a better deck, the Targon regions give you access to invoke cards like big overwhelm or illusives that are hard to remove, extra healing, and oblierate spells that would work in the FtR matchup. The rest of the deck consists of control cards to help shut down aggro and Fiora Shen decks.
