What is the wholesale price for a booster box?

It's always been a dream of mine to own/run a game shop, even though I've seen so many come and go in my life. I know they run on slim margins, but how slim?

Wizards sets the lower limit for boxes at $90, otherwise stores are banned from receiving product, but stores still sell them for $90 and make a profit, obviously, or they wouldn't be selling them for $90. What is the wholesale purchase price for the store? $80 a box? $50 a box?

Can a store owner comment on this? It's hard to imagine any sort of business plan for opening a shop without knowing the wholesale cost for your goods...

This is correct, if you are from 1996. Last set that cost 60 was around 4th edition, maybe even revised. The quotes above are much more accurate.

Please upvote this, as $60 is absolutely not correct. Distributors pay more per box than that now.

In the US, your LGS is paying $72-75 per box depending on their distributor and their discount with that distributors. Their discount is based on the total amount of product they order from that distributor - the more they order, the higher the discount.
