OCE servers still getting put to other servers often
Please fix. We get put on American servers with like 200 ping way too often still. And why does every games show the "warning: long wait for fair match"? Wtf is going on?

Hey there. We have been investigating reports of connectivity problems in OCE. This is not a server capacity issue however. One current theory is problems are stemming from damaged undersea network infrastructure.
To be extra clear we have never had a region where we did not have enough capacity to handle the amount of players for that region for any long period of time (right around patching things can be bumpy we know).
We’ll be sure to post updates when we have detailed information, it’s always a bit more complicated when issues are outside of our infrastructure.
Cheers

We’re currently testing changes to our regional infrastructure for South America. Quality of gameplay means a great deal to me as the lead live ops engineer and of course the rest of the team too.
Thanks for your patience, we know it can be frustrating that these types of improvements take a long time.

Hi zepistol, the reason is those links are used for the instance (or "game") servers that are located in AU to communicate back to the core servers for whatever region you're in. If that connection is interrupted we're unable to do a lot of things including saving your data, when that's the case, you would instead be routed to NA servers.
Cheers.

Hey zeipstol, I didn't mean to offend you with the details of the general network issues we've seen in OCE recently. I can understand your frustration if you're regularly hitting high ping on the weekends. We can help more by looking at your specific network quality data and going from there. I am certain we are not out of capacity in our OCE datacenter.
Please post your battle tag in this thread or make a post on our tech support forums and we can look in more detail.
