Current status on LATAM an Brazil servers, competitive scene who needs help, South America.

Hello guys! first of all, let me introduce myself. My nick ingame is leon, i'm playing with a semi-professional team from Argentina. A few months ago I did a post that began a drama, that's something old and not the point of this thread.

Right now, I want to talk about the current status of the servers on LATAM, or LAS (this includes Brazil) and Blizzard. I just wanna give some feedback, and talk from my perspective and some things that i'm watching right now here in our region. Maybe we can get a solution right here. I'll begin with the problems, and how they're now since they began.

First week from November, a new heroe and patch is live, Moira and a update. Since this patch, at least from Argentina (some guys from Brazil also saying this, but minimum), are getting a lot of problems and troubles with the servers, getting randoms disconnects, so much lag spikes, so much loss. We all thought that it was a normal problem, you know, blizzard will fix this in next patch next week, etc. Well, that never happened. Right now, randoms disconnects, loss and lag spikes are not only affecting our rankeds games, but scrims and even tournaments (the few we have).

I tried to contact Blizzard in a lot differents ways, via twitter, forums (LATAM and NA), even tried to call to Blizzard Argentina support without answer. Tried conventional methods like delete cache, but that just didn't work anymore. Commons responses from Blizzard we got, like Is your ISP, send us a trace route, you're getting ddosed, etc. I'm just asking for a fix, since Blizzard do have the resources to do that, since we are paying for the game and we like it.

Even in the LATAM forums, mods from blizzard are deleting our posts and we're not getting any answer, I am really frustrated but not losing hope to get a fix, so we can play the game again. Right now our "scene" if we can call like that, is pending by a thread. A lot of players are likely quitting the game. Last sunday played with my team the open division from like 11 hours, in that time not only me and my teammates but a lot of people getting disconnected like 30~ times.

The point of this thread is to try to get a solution, since I was reading this subreddit and i know that here are people who works in blizzard and even respond to threads. I'm not mean to be rude, I just want a solution so we, in LATAM and Brazil can play again without fear, for rankeds players to be banned, and from teams to play scrims and tournaments without getting punished by ult economy, etc.

Also, did a recopilation from threads on Blizzard's Forums (both LATAM and NA), where we didn't get any answer at all, we're feeling ignored by you Blizzard, we need an answer.

Sorry if my english is bad, i'm trying my best to describe this situation. We just want a solution, please help us!

EDIT: Also, talking with a lot of members from discords Brazil and Argentina, since last patch from rankeds the queue times are up to like 1+ hour, if we combine thoses disconnects and lag spikes with a long queue time, no one wants to play because of that. We do really need help to fix the servers and matchmaking, since no one want to play at least competitive. Even there's players who doesn't find a ranked on our region and are forced to play on NA servers with 200+ ms to not enter on decay.

I'm posting some screens from players:

EDIT 2: Talking with players from Chilean discord, they're saying that are not experimenting disconnects but some random lag on the servers that causes to disconnect, but rarely happening.

Yeah, we have a big thread in Brazil about this, and it looks like it is related to some ISP's since the last patch.

Some CMs answered in the thread and they basically said that it is the ISP's problem and tried to contact them and one even called AT&T to try to reach the providers here, but they basically said it is useless because they don't care.

I am personally having no DC's but I have permanent 20% packet loss every game and a lot of people are having the same issue right now.

I am by no means an expert but it really sounds like the problem is in Blizzard's Brazilian server. It happened after a patch, if you use any of those routing softwares it kinda solves it for some time. I hope we get enough attention with this thread because it seems that the CMs in the forums have no idea what to do and don't seem to be able to contact their higher ups for a solution.

Hey there, we've been working with our ISP partners in South America on this problem. This issue is not related to the recent 1.18 Winter Wonderland patch, we saw increased packet loss for this region before the patch was released. (Also, patch related problems tend to manifest in all regions, not one specific region.)

We are committed to providing the best Overwatch experience everywhere we can and we'll continue to push this issue forward on our end. We understand connection problems are frustrating, our suggestion for players to reach out to their ISPs is only made when we have a good faith belief that the ISP may be able to help.

    Cheers.
