Some pretty important NA Contenders games coming up tomorrow

Thought I'd bring this up because I haven't seen a post on it yet. If there already is one let me know.

NA Contenders season 2 just has one more week of play before playoffs. In season one all teams affiliated with OWL teams qualified, and therefore got an automatic invite to season 2. This season, however, could be different.

Group A is already decided. XL2, NRG, Envy, and Toronto have all proven that they're much better than Bye Week and Skyfoxes. In group B, however, three teams are deadlocked for two playoff spots. Mayhem Academy, GGEA, and Last Nights Leftovers. These three teams are not just tied on match wins, (2-2), they're tied in map differential. (-1)

After a surprise 3-2 upset of Gladiators Legion, LNL has put themselves in prime position to knock either the Mayhem or Outlaw academy teams down to trials with a game against the Mayhem Academy at 10:30 pm EST. Win, and a playoff spot is assured, as well as an invite back to NA contenders season 3. Even if they lose, they just have to not do as bad as GGEA, who have a match with the undefeated Fusion University at 7:00 pm EST looming.

I'll be honest I don't follow contenders close enough to know whp the favorite is between MA and LNL, but I was curious of the current standings, saw how close it was, and thought it was worth informing this sub about it, especially since we could soon see an NA OWL affiliated team in NA trials.

Oh really? You know blizzard, it would be nice to know that these types of games were coming up. I feel like they need to step up their marketing so badly.

When do the playoffs start?

Aug 8, 9, 10. Finals at the Los Angeles World Cup stop.
