I just want to say thank you to the Overwatch community.

I picked up the game during the holiday sale during a rough time of my life. I had a bad mental break down during the summer and lost my job, was feeling really low, and the holidays are always a shaky time for me as it's the anniversary of my father passing.

I saw my boyfriend playing Overwatch from the beginning on PS4, have always seen him enjoy it and I have always enjoyed him watching it and decided to say "screw it" and pick it up (On PC), and has it ever been a life saver, literally. I have a group of friends that I consistently message and play games with, and even if we end up loosing I still have a blast.

Since picking up the game, I love talking about the updates, the nerfs they did to heros (As someone who mains Mercy, I'm a bit iffy on some of the nerfs they did to Mercy but that's a discussion for another time), talking strategy, talking about future skin ideas they might do, send memes to people, and I feel even closer to my boyfriend as a result.

I hope to be able to get stable once again to afford to get it on PC for him as I would love to play with him, but sadly he was recently laid off and I just got on some medications that have made me feel well enough to look for work. It's his birthday this Sunday so I might get him some loot boxes, and maybe draw him with Genji in his Super Sentai skin as he loves that skin.

So thank you Blizzard, for making such an amazing game. I know there are salty apples at times, but I honestly have fun playing it, and I make sure to tell my teammates to have fun before each quick play match.
