Endless (player) has left/joined game bug?

I haven't been playing much the last few weeks so unsure if this is a known issue or new.

While playing Classic QP a player left and for the next few minutes (until we lost, naturally) there was a HUGE nonstop stream of players joining and leaving. At one point it said the same few people left multiple times in a row (no joined, just X has left over and over). Don't think a single joiner locked in a hero, just immediately booted and replaced over and over.

Seemed like a huge bug and couldn't have been real leavers, I've never seen anything like it in my life.

(Can't post clip atm, but it was insane.)

Has anyone else seen this?
