Ridiculous. It's as if the people who make this game have never played it. Most imbalanced garbage ever reading "when a friendly minion dies give your other minions +1 attack" leading to the quickest, most brainless deaths ever. Opponent builds token deck and crosses fingers he gets this busted passive and skyrockets to 10+ wins just facerolling. Nothing you can do about it. Your AoE's won't outpace their flood and trading is out of the question since you only buff them. It should be when the FIRST friendly minion dies. It's still a great pick for swarm decks then.

So out of curiosity I was looking through all the old expansion to see which spells got updated with spell schools to figure out what the standards are.

Unsurprisingly I stumbled over a handful of inconsistencies (or just stuff that I don't understand because I'm missing the WoW connection).

For the purpose of discussion I'll list my findings here and you can tell me why I'm wrong:

Feral Spirit has no spell school, Dragon's Pack however is a Nature spell, despite them both being effectively the same thing.

Lesser Emerald Spellstone is a Nature Spell for some reason, despite no other Beast summoning spells are like this (I can only assume the argument would be that it is a relic imbued by Nature magic)

Lunar Eclipse is an Arcane spell (like all astral spells), but Solar Eclipse is a Nature spell (are sun-related spells Nature damage in WoW?)

Corrupting Mist is a Shadow spell while Corruption, the OG spell has no school.

Spirit Echo somehow qualifies as a Nature spell, while stuff like Ancestral Spirit or Soul of the Murloc don't.

Rafaam's Scheme is a fire spell for some reason, when all other Imp summoning spells ([Hearthstone Card (Summoning Circle) Not Found] and the ranked spell) are Fel spells

Inner Fire and Focused Will aren't Holy/Shadow spells respectively (is there some Priest skillset that involves mental training that isn't related to the LIght/Void?)

Bloodbloom is a Shadow spell when all other plant related spells are Nature (like Hallucination)

Rain of Fire and Dark Skies are Fel spells. Now I'm a bit colorblind so maybe this makes sense if both of them shoot green fire, but to me it always looked like regular Fire.

Lesser Ruby Spellstone is a Fire spell. I guess they were going for color coding with those, but it just feels like a bit of a stretch.

Subdue is not a HOly spell. Maybe it was neever supposed to be, but it always felt like on to me.

Convert is not a Shadow spell, which is weird seeing the artwork and how it clearly implies mind control shenanigans.

Webweave is for some bizarre reason a Shadow spell, which becomes even weirder considering Spreading Plague is Nature as you would expect.

Oh My Yogg! is a Shadow spell, which is strang considering all the other Old GOd relics from Darkmoon Faire have no spell school.

Shadow Council is a Fel spell. I know this makes sense due to the nature of the spell, but it bothers me to no end seeing how every other spell with "Shadow" in the name belongs to that school.

So that's what I've got so far. Anybody else got opinions on this?

After the new patch I got this Shaman achievement: PLAY AN ELEMENTAL 5 TURNS IN A ROW.

Nice ... but ... I was playing a BIG PRIEST in WILD ... and there were no elemental in my deck ... any idea what happened ?

I’m not sure if someone already wrote about this, but on the new Barrens board, Transfer Student will give you a random Ranked spell. So... if you wanted to try them for whatever reason, there you go!

With no new cards being added to the mode, do you think it will become unbalanced and boring?

How do you like the new Classic mode?

I tried it and I found it... very shallow compared to Standard.  The small number of available options and mechanically simple cards make the format for me not very exciting.

I have peramently the "unclaimed achievements exclamation mark" on the collection achievements, but there is nothing left to claim. That's only a minor annoyance, but what is even more strange is that I received the achievement for collecting all 170 DMF cards. Because I didn't! There are still some missing, e.g. E.T.C. which I never opened / crafted/ dusted. Therefore I still have the "collect all Warrior cards" still open. So it says that I own all cards of the set,  without owning all Warrior cards of the set?! I guess the exclamation mark is connected to that second error...

Someone has the same issues?

First run of the new season, first ever 12 win duels run for me. There's only one thing to do in a moment like this. 

My Royal Mukla Duels Paladin deck has been my favorite for duels. It was a work in progress from that original list, with big improvements (Echoing Ooze & Soggoth the Slitherer) coming in thanks to Avalon's great duels articles, and it got some serious love with the new rotation. Turns out Ragnaros the Firelord is pretty good. With a nod to Elise the Trailblazer and the good luck I had with treasures and buckets, it was a very lopsided run. The only loss was this brutal beatdown by a god-hand Shaman. 

Rally the Troops is busted. So very, very busted.

Just played Vectus after only one deathrattle minion dying, and he only summoned the one whelp. He used to summon 2 whelps no matter what. Given how this card synergizes with Plague of Flames, this is a major downgrade. Has anyone else witnessed this? Do we think it's an intentional change or a bug?

I had an idea for the UI when queuing into standard, wild, classic, or casual. The icon at the top which you press to change modes would let you pick between casual or ranked, and when you press play you would queue into whatever mode your selected deck fits in.

I keep getting matched against players in Casual that seem to have the most basic of cards. Not fun to beat up their decks with my good collection. Is the MMR goofed up?

Also played a match against a Warlock that played the card that makes your spells cost 1 more on your next turn. For some reason Innervate cost zero and after I used it at zero mana my other spells went up.

Any of you fine folks seeing these problems as well?

Yesteday i was rushing 1k wins with my pally using a galvadon deck. if i remember, i had 972 wins. Today after the patch, i logged in the game and the skin was earned and i was with 1k wins with pally.

This is a bug?

after i logged today i received one demon hunter pack from the prologue, but it isnt on my packs anyone knows if  blizz will really give a pack retroactively or if it is a bug?

Hey guys, couldn´t find the info anywhere at the time of posting this, so I thought I might share, so you won´t miss it. You can now buy Sylvanas Hero along with her cardback with money or GOLD! Yay :D

So I just wanted to see if the Duels cardpool was already updated (it is) and naturally ended up building a Discolock deck now that Lakkari Sacrifice is part of the starting pool (which is a lot of fun so far, Imps go wheeeee).

Now, as you probably know Lakkari Felhound was recently buffed to discard the two loweset-cost cards, which is really helpful if you want to discard [Hearthstone Card (Clutchmother Xavas) Not Found] among other things.

What I did not know was that they apparently buffed the interaction between these two specific cards even further. When I play Felhound with just about 5 different cards in hand (one of them Clutchmother), he proceeded to discard Xavas, who did her discard thing and came back....BEFORE the 2nd card was discarded....after which she was discarded AGAIN for another buff.

I don't know if this would apply to any other cards (since this is the only multi-discard with specific targets), but it's certainly a welcome change.

I'm gonna try and test it with Cataclysm to see what happens there, but I doubt it lets me infinitely discard Xavas.

Now we have 4 formats

• Wild
• Casual

And casual is wild casual. There is no more standard casual. Is this real??? Is my understanding right?

I just launched the 20.0 patch and got 4! 1000 win portraits!
My best guess is, all the past arena wins have been added to the counter? 
Mage, Paladin and Rogue got the biggest boost and those were the most picked classes back in the day.
I'm not complaining but i gotta say, this was a little to unexpected.
Hopefully this isn't a bug?

So maybe it's because it's 5 AM, but i'm going to go on a rant for a bit.

Four mana. Deal 2 damage. 

With the release of the long awaited forged in the barrens warrior got a new AOE. It is essentially, in a vacuum, the same old same old, been in the game forever, hasn't changed since classic hearthstone with CONSECRATION, 4 mana deal 2 damage AOE. 

And it got my noggin joggin, you could say. It makes you think doesn't it. In the same expansion we see cards like Paralytic Poison, Silverleaf Poison, cards that would NEVER have been made and have completely showed the hypocrisy of the leeching poison nerfs YET AGAIN. Warrior gets 4 mana deal 2 damage AOE. 

I don't know if you've played hearthstone lately, but no one plays Bloodfen Raptor anymore. On turn 4, deal 2 to everything will not just not do anything, but it will make the situation seem more hopeless for you, the next few turns when you proceed to lose. 

I was hearing they would remove brawl from warrior's classic set. And i had hoped to god they didn't. Because it's literally the only thing they have. 

they print voracious reader for aggro, they print ticketus for aggro. And they give you 4 mana deal 2 damage AOE. Why?

The expansion is here guys look what the other kids got.

I was going over the Blizzard site and I was not able to find any information about potentially opening your pack early like what was previously offered (https://playhearthstone.com/en-us/news/23557138/open-madness-at-the-darkmoon-faire-packs-at-home-at-your-own-pre-release-fireside-gathering)

With the last expansion, as long as you were able to "host" a Fireside gathering at your house on your WiFi, you were able to open your packs.  I've not seen anything posted about Forged in the Barrens.  Does anyone have a spoiler for it?
