This week I rerolled the "deal x dmg to minions in BG" to get  "finish top4 in bg". I rerolled that into "spend 500 mana". Now I rerolled another quest (5 wins BG, Duels, TB) and got "deal x dmg to minions in BG" AGAIN!

I can't play BG. All my clients (mobile, Windows VM) are so slow that the rope is halfway done, when I enter Bob's Tavern. 

I know that some people play only BG and they are happy about that. That should not be changed. But if they don't play ranked then they can reroll this into sth. which isn't ranked quest. But as non BG-player you can't avoid BG quests! Why are BG rerolls not rerolled into non-BG-quests?

Like it says in the title, this is my crossover creation, bringing Legends of Runeterra's champions, Landmarks, and other cards to Hearthstone. Some will be rather literal translations, but many will be reinterpretations of what was originally presented. I've only just started today (4/20/2021), so bear with me :) Eventually it is my hope to make a "Runeterra x Hearthstone" expansion as well, moving Hearthstone characters to Runeterra.

A big thanks to Demonxz95 for his Legendaries of Runeterra Weekly Card Design Competition theme, which directly inspired me to expand the project beyond just my one Lissandra card. I started by writing down my general idea here, on this sticky note:

Champion placement is mostly gameplay-related, with the rest down to personal preference (like placing the three Freljord "sisters" in Shaman, or all three Ascended in Paladin). I chose to implement the Dual-class cards to make things more interesting, but I kept the original Scholomance combinations out of simplicity.

The Champions

I don't have the non-Legendaries created yet - let alone all the Legendaries in general - so I'm just gonna list what I have here for now and clean it up as I continue.

Landmarks

Landmarks have become a major part of Legends of Runeterra, so I felt I should at least try to implement them. Hearthcards has the unique "Locations" feature, so I figured why not utilize that? Landmark is a keyword, so I can mess with it via Taliyah and other cards. Hopefully this description makes sense:

Essentially, when you play a Landmark, it counts from 1 to 2 to 3 before it goes away, triggering each effect at the appropriate time. 1 is a Battlecry, 2 is at the start of your next turn, and 3 is at the start of the turn after that. For example, here's my sole Landmark so far, the Vaults of Helia:

(It's supposed to be a Warlock/DH card, but DH is not implemented for Locations so I had to make do.)

As the Vaults of Helia card progresses, it shuffles more and more Soul Fragments into your deck. Pretty straight-forward...at least I hope so.

So I am currently completing all Lab of Legends quests and it´s a lot of fun.

However, there is one thing that annoys me a little. At the start, you choose the first buff which usually will be an epic one because obviously they give the biggest value in the majority of games. Since they don´t occur as often, you have no choice but to perma spam forfeit and start again, until you get the buff you want. 

Now I am wondering why Rito isn´t just letting people choose the first buff, because you end of rerolling 100x anyway, for what you need. That would save a lot of time and makes more sense, in my opinion.

Even though having it pop up over and over on every new page is extremely annoying, I would be willing to ignore that if it was not so damn hard to close it on a phone. So Rush Warrior has been doing very well, you can just pull the best list off of HSreplay.

There's also apparently this new Tempo Mage deck making the rounds that's sort of a minion-based Spell Damage deck, but on HSreplay it still shows up under the regular Spell Damage MAge which has abysmal winartes because the most popular build is garbage while the new one actually has a positive WR.

Clown Druid is still around and is basically unchanged.

If you want statistically powerful decks you're gonna have to wait until Thursday for the VS Data Reaper report.

Hi, I've been grinding Arena again recently and I find it basically impossible to win when going second, especially in a tempo matchup. Any tips for this?

I was playing around with a few priest ideas in Casual and encountered two weird interactions:

1) Insight (Non-Corrupted) + Far Watch Post

You'd expect the card drawn by the former to be taxed by the latter, but the card was 'taxed' (the animation went of and the increased cost was shown) but then the card went back to normal (and I was able to play it at the inital cost). I'm not sure if this is a bug for Far Watch Post or a feature of Insight - I wouldn't've doubted the interaction if Insight had been corrupted.

2) Serena Bloodfeather + Silver Hand Recruit (or maybe any 1/1 for that matter)

Pretty sure this is just bad coding, as the former says 'until', but Serena Bloodfeather actually kills 1/1s. Neither attack nor health are strictly higher, nor is the overall stat-count. I still have no idea how Serena works - but I'm confident it's not intended like this :D

So I just opened a level 13 vault but it didn't contain a champion wildcard for some reason and I also didn't get a random champion in its place (vaults of level 5-9 should contain a random champion, vaults of level 10 or higher should contain a champion wildcard instead).

Did anyone else experience the same thing?

I imported my brawl deck for this week, but while I could tell the Deckbuilder that it is a Tavern Brawl deck, I couldn't tell it which brawl it is for. I'm pretty sure this feature existed before and it is probably required for the site to suggest decks for the current brawl.

In two different games I've played Deck of Lunacy and encountered some issues with spell cost and other cards that should have changed the cost of the spells. I know there were issues previously with cards that were shuffled back into the deck or otherwise manipulated via Secret Passage, but I've never seen this one before.

The first was with Celestial Alignment. I played the card and happened to have minions and spells in hand. The minions were properly reduced to 1 mana, but the spells, all of which had been previously altered by Deck of Lunacy, retained their DoL mana cost. I did not have the chance check to see if this was a display bug or an actual spell cost bug.

The second was with Power Word Fortitude. Again, I had the spell generated by DoL, which made it a 5 cost spell. It is supposed to reduce in cost by each spell in hand. I had many spells in hand which should have reduced it to 1 or 0 mana cost, but it remained at 5. I did not try casting it to see if it was a display bug or not.

It's not exactly scientific or anything, but the ONLY difference I have personally noticed is that Rogue has been replaced with Control Warlock (as predicted).

This is not an improvement. WTG, Blizz.

Alright, so after the nerfs hit I decided to go back to ladder and finish my climb to Legend that I had to stop at Diamond 2 because the 50/50 Mage/Paladin spread made it impossible to consistently win.

In order to prove to myself that I'm good at evaluating cards I picked No-Minion-Mage without the nerfed Deck of Lunacy because I was sure it was still a very potent deck that performs well against just about most decks (outside of super aggro).

Turns out I wasn't only correct, but also an overwhelming majority of players decided to target the freshly nerfed Paladin by bringing Control Warlock...which gets absolutely trounced by N-M-Mage because you just have more burn than they have healing.

Long story short: Out of 10 games 9 were Warlock. I lost only one of those due to abysmal draws (turns out picking picking a third Incanter's Flow from Runed Orb instead of Rigged Fair Game with an empty hand was a bad choice, who knew) and one against a cheeky Face Hunter who obviously steamrolled me.

Baseline: Everyone plays Warlock to hunt Paladin, but there is no Paladin because all of them already made it to Legend, so either play MAge to farm Warlock or play Hunter to farm the Mages farming Warlock (and also farm the Warlocks because Face Hunter is poggers).

so anyone tested if piercing shot does more damage to the enemy hero with Mo'arg Artificer ? i dont have him and dont want to make him just for the test. XD

I have 3 mana, I play the Coin followed by Scabbs Cutterbutter and his combo is activated. I play Sparkjoy Cheat for free, which casts a secret from my hand, then all my other cards go back to their normal cost. The secret cast by the Sparkjoy counted as a discounted card from Scabbs and I was unable to play another card. That has to be a bug, right?

As Hearthstone trundles along, the powercreep of cards and the desire to win makes for the unfortunate side product of pushing a lot of really enjoyable cards and decks out of existence. Short of playing against friends your only hope to play these parts of the game is to cross your fingers that some new cards come around that will make them viable again. I personally find this really disheartening and would like to enjoy my collection in its fullest without having to lose over and over with it.

Deathstalker Rexxar is a great example of this where the card is basically unplayable in Wild and has been for quite a while. However this card is a fan-favorite that a lot of people are unwilling to disenchant and optimally would like to use. However there is no outlet. The best idea I can come up with for this is to introduce a new game mode where you can make whatever crazy deck you like and be matched with other people trying to play their own crazy deck with a 50% chance of one of you facing the same deck, making it obviously viable as it is equally matched.

This would require Blizzard to implement a deck list on the side where you can highlight every card- something that is overdue anyway. This mode would add a lot of variety into the game and be a blast to match up against decks where imagination is the limit. Even if at first the deck's owner would be at the advantage certain decks would occur more often and its own certain meta would evolve.

Another idea would be to have a 2 out of 3 where you match with an opponent, play three games where the first two are the decks versus each other and the third the two decks actually match up. This would be informally expedient because players can opt to concede the third or even the second game if they like if they didn't want to go through the whole process.

What do you think? I believe this mode is badly needed on the grounds that our collections are not fully accessible and that concepts that were teased and invested in never were able to be played without losing game after game playing them. Think of all the fun that could be had if they implemented this easy to launch mode that would require absolutely no balancing concerns since... the decks themselves are always evenly matched. I strongly believe this is a very overdue game mode and is necessary to get the full value out of cards that rotate into Wild.

When I click the grey arrow named "Jump to latest post" I never get to the latest post, instead I end up somewhere in the middle of the thread. This is the case both on mobile and on computer. Very annoying.

Hey Flux and awesome OOC crew, I had an idea for a longer time and so I though it might be worth asking. We have up and down voting for posts, if we like/dislike the comments, and so I thought, maybe we could have some sort of "reputation" points for members too, as I´ve seen on some other forums. What if I like a member and want to appreciate his opinions/attitude/helpfulness, other than upvoting all of his comments? Maybe there could be some + reputation button (not - ofc, cause it could backfire badly) next to members avatars? You couldn´t vote twice for the same member, it could be anonymous (so people don´t feel forced to pay it back) and maybe it could be helpful in threads like trading a friend quests - you can upvote trusty member who traded with you, or you can check his reputation before trading, to know he is least likely to scam you, if he gained some reputation points.

Anyway, just an idea, what do you guys think? :)

Just curious to see if anyone else is looking forward to this. Other than Hearthstone, Diablo II is the only game I ever played in my adult life - an impulse buy for the first pc I ever owned that turned into an addictive, immersive gameplay experience. I have a lot of good memories of triggering multiple corpse explosions with my bonemancer. I never buy games, but seriously contemplating picking up a copy of this when it comes out so I can relive those memories :)

I had her in a deck she didn’t belong in before the nerf and got wins with her because of her health pool while not really having the cards to protect her. 

I took her out when they lowered her health to 2 just didn’t feel I could keep her alive without building around her. I feel that is how it should be. Any Fiora mains floating around here?

I was part of the Zalae thread recently and probably didnt help the conversation thread since I was going back and forth with someone I didnt agree with. This was yesterday and I see now that the thread's comments are now hidden. However, Im unable to see the comment replies I got - 1 being Flux himself. 

I agree regarding the thread being made hidden from comments. I dont agree that if we got a response, we can no longer see it at all. 

What I would like to see is maybe the full comment if you hover over the link of the thread title under Site Notifications. This would bypass rare situations where a thread is locked but also would allow us to avoid having to click and reload the thread.

Bonus - I would love to know what Flux replied back to me with. I care less about the other person that replied.
