Competition Theme: Are You Prepared?

The Demon Hunters are upon us! Sadly, they won't have cards from any previous expansions, so it's up to us to make some for them.

• You must create a Demon Hunter card for a previous Hearthstone expansion or adventure
  • Any card set is fair game, excluding Basic, Classic and Ashes of Outland. Make sure you're using the appropriate watermark!
• You can only use mechanics introduced up to the expansion or adventure you chose
  • No Naxxramas cards with Reborn, or GvG cards with Poisonous, for example
• You must obey the rarity distribution of previous expansions and adventures
  • No Naxxramas Legendaries or Blackrock Mountain Epics, please!

Also note that we've given you space for up to one token for this competition, as a trial run of this method of allowing it. We'll see how it ends up playing out and make adjustments as needed.

I'm wondering if any of you is using Malygos or Prophet Velen deck with good results (in wild) ?

I never played one because i don't have Malygos yet. As for the Velen I was able to put my hands on golden one because of HoF.

I know this might sound like a smal issue, but as someone who loves to use the OOC deckbuilder to theorycraft new decks for the next expansion, it's a bit annoying that we can't select a format without the Year of the Raven cards. Likewise, it's also annoying if you want to build a deck for the currect meta without accidentally adding Year of the Phoenix cards.

So recently on all profiles (at least on my end), the picture instead of being its normal square is instead squished into a weird rectangle. Not a major issue but I figured I would still report it.

So I just went 6-1 on my Expedition.  Not just 6 wins--literally undefeated until game 7.  ;-)  That's never happened to me before.  I've had some good campaigns, some bad campaigns, but even when I'm doing "good" that's more like 60% win rate.  I've never had one that was so good that it didn't drop any games--so you can imagine my surprise when I got shut out on the final game.

My deck was basically straight aggro: Draven + Lucian with lots of early game aggro, tons of Noxius 1-2 drops, battlecasters, and 3x brothers bond.  It was surprising effective (side note #1: don't neglect your early game when drafting, guys!)  Final Boss was a wonky P&Z/Frejlord deck with Anivia + Ashe + 1 other champ (don't exactly remember; he never played any); I was even doing OK until he dropped a Chempunk Shredder on curve (side note #2: when's the last time you've seen one of those played?) which completely cleared my board.  From there on, it was an uphill battle with me top-decking and him with card advantage and plenty of good answers.  I did manage to get him down to 1-HP and threaten next-turn lethal, but he managed to get me to exactly 0 the round before.

I can't really complain--I imagine my deck seemed like super-cancer to all my previous opponents, plus 6 wins is still pretty good--but that last game just got me.  It was my first trial, but I need to take a mental palette cleanser before attempting trial #2 so I thought I'd post here.  I hope everyone is doing well!

EDIT: meant 6-1, not 6-0 lol.  Sorry; I guess I was more worked up than I thought!

Any chance or news if they will do anything with Sacrificial Pact? For example, making it only affect friendly demons.

With the release of ashes of outland, they have printed a lot of demons for all classes. The demon condition seems to be less situational with all classes likely running demons. For instance With Magtheridon, sac pact could easily be destroy an enemy 12/12, heal 5, for zero mana! A huge tempo swing.

So, starting from the 26th, we are protected from >2 duplicates for commons, rares and epics. If I understand how it works correctly, then this is the best time to dust goldens if you have one or two golden copies of a card, but don't have 2 normal copies. Not a super-common situation, but for example:

I have nearly all epics from Classic, missing just 8. I have one regular copy of Cabal Shadow Priest and one golden copy. I have never dusted the golden version (don't really need the dust, and even though Cabal is not a meta card, I just liked to keep the second copy around while I didn't get a second regular one).   

Due to the duplicate protection rules, if I now dust my golden Cabal Shadow priest, I will get it again in the first 9 epics that I get from classic. (If I dust it after the 26th, as I understand it, the card will be counted as 'already obtained' and I will not get it again. I will first get the 8 missing epics and after that  I will just get random epics after because the set is counted as complete.) The only caveat here is when Blizz starts counting cards as 'already obtained'. I assume on the 26th, but I could not find any confirmation of that.

The same is true for commons and rare of course, but I don't have any of those in golden that I don't already have 2 normal copies of...  

Will the dormant cards be vulnerable to AOE prior to them waking up?

This would be an option under the user profile, that if selected, hides the big spoiler splashes.

So, by default everyone gets them. I think most people do want them, and all the seo juice will work just fine.
