Cora has shared a few fun things about the new mini-set!

Few tidbits I can remember about this Mini-Set:

1. Gigantify is the reverse of Miniaturize, which meant we had to adjust our design philosophy. Instead of repetitive effects that are strong because they're cheap, we leaned into effects that are more exciting on a bigger minion.

2. The set was supposed to be named "Dr. Boom's Incredible Inventions (of Fun!)." We were asked to cut the "(of Fun!)" for length concerns.

3. We referred to the mini-set internally as "Misfit Toys" at the beginning, and the design ID on each card is MIS_ for that reason.

4. We considered giving Toyrantus a blank textbox for the memes. /s

5. I believe the keyword Gigantify/Gigantic was originally suggested internally as a joke, and we kind of ran with it. We don't usually introduce a new keyword in a mini-set, but this one made sense.

6. There is one specific art piece in this mini-set that is a continuation of the story of an art piece in the main set, and it's kind of messed up. I don't know who wrote the description, but they must have been going through it that day.

I realize I may get flamed for this thread, but here goes:

I've been playing a lot of Death Knight recently, and I've noticed that whenever my opponent draws a Blood Plague or I use The Primus's Runes of Blood ability, I make nomnomnom noises to myself as I eat up that delicious health. I started doing it sort of unconsciously at first, but now I lean into it, smacking my lips with relish. It's stupid and silly, but it increases the fun I'm having while I play.

So, what do all you freaks out there do while you play that makes the game more fun for you? Scream out your favorite minions' call lines when you summon them? Chant FACE or SMORC when smacking the opponent? I'm sure some of you have some silly little things you'd like to share.

I'm tempted to play again. Anyone here play Diablo IV? What do you think of the current gameplay versus how it was on release (when I last played)?

Last month, I managed to climb up to Diamond 1 by exclusively using Whizbang. I love Whizbang, but I feel like that definitely wasn't intended to be possible. Who needs deckbuilding when you can just put one card in your deck and climb up?

How to figure it out 

1. Open Steam and go to the Help menu
2. Under Help click on Steam Support
3. Click on My Account
4. Click on Data Related to Your Steam Account
5. Click on External Funds Used

This won't include money spent outside of Steam for keys like through Humble Bundle or Kickstarters. Also if you have "OldSpend" its from before 2015 when Steam did some sort of change to their system.

Time to start ramping up the ads for the return of the greatest Mario game ever. Hopefully it entices new players, while hitting the nostaglia buttons for those of us who played it on the Gamecube :D

Out of Games doesn't need to be specifically about video games! haha. Tell me about some of your favorite board games, or tabletop experiences like Dungeons & Dragons, Shadowrun, etc. I'm always in the market for more!

My family has a game night we do each Friday: there are five of us, and it's a struggle to find ones that can successfully field five players. Four appears to be the magic number, much to our dismay. Still, we've found some, like Talisman, Settlers of Catan, and Wingspan. We've even adapted some games that could theoretically run with more than four without trouble, like the Firefly board game. We also have a fair number of cooperative games, to curb our bloodlus...I mean "competitive natures". We had to stop playing certain games like Munchkin because people get too upset :/

Unfortunately, when a game lacks an expansion or setup for a fifth player, we lose out on what could be a fun experience. The Horizon: Zero Dawn board game has really nice, detailed miniatures of the robots...but all the expansions add more robots, not more players. I went out of my way to buy the Kickstarter pieces to the "Borderlands: Mr. Torgue's Arena of Badassery" game on Ebay - because I absolutely love Borderlands - and despite now having like 25 playable characters, the rules are still only balanced for four people. It all sits in a tote in my room, collecting dust alongside my Bunkers & Badasses tabletop stuff :(

Segueing into tabletop games, I really enjoy playing Dungeons & Dragons with my dad and his friends...but it doesn't like me lol. I am terrible at rolling favorably, and I don't care to roleplay my characters that much. We're there to play a game, not be actors! I bought a Bunkers & Badasses set - the Borderlands equivalent - but I don't have anyone to play that with, so I guess my campaign idea will remain just a Word document forever. My dad is currently creating his own tabletop rulebook/setting with the intent to publish it, so that's cool.

Before you set sail towards the Ashlands update there are a couple of things we recommend that you keep in mind. For the sake of convenience, we have compiled them here for you!

Public Test Branch Recommendations

First of all, if you’re playing the Ashlands update during the Public Test, the usual recommendations are still in place. For example, remember to make backups of your worlds and characters if you want to be able to use them in the non-PTB version of the game in the meantime, as they might not be backwards compatible with older versions. If you’re playing on a server, or with friends, everyone must be on the PTB, otherwise you will not be able to connect. All the PTB information are available here as always.

Terrain Generation and New Content

As always, new content will only be generated properly in previously unexplored areas of the game. Therefore, if you have already explored a lot of the Ashlands, the update will not generate properly in that world and we recommend that you start a new one. If you haven’t explored the Ashlands, you should get the new content, but we always recommend that you start a new world for the best possible experience. You can of course start a new world with an older character, if you don’t want to play through the whole game again before being able to conquer the Ashlands.

Additionally, the Ashlands update features some significant changes to the terrain generation around the Ashlands. The Ashlands will only be accessible by ship, and the terrain around it has been lowered and turned to ocean. This also affects any buildings you might have in that area – if they are built on terrain that gets altered, they will collapse. The images below illustrate what happens to a spawned location versus what happens to a player built structure. As you can see, even if the spawned building remains intact, it will be rather difficult to reach it, as the terrain around it is vastly lower.

Preparation and Difficulty

Before you travel to the Ashlands, you should first make sure that you have defeated The Queen in the Mistlands. If you have done so on an earlier playthrough, remember that her dropped item is no longer a placeholder. Just like Eikthyr’s antler lets you craft a pickaxe needed in the Black Forest, and just like The Elder drops a crypt key for the Swamps, the item from The Queen will be useful in the Ashlands! If you have the item already, you might need to toss it out of your inventory and pick it up again, for new recipes to trigger properly.

We also want to remind everyone that Valheim is meant to be a difficult game, and that it’s meant to be more difficult the further you progress – and the Ashlands is the penultimate biome of the game. If you’re confident in your skills, by all means, go forth! But if you haven’t played for a while or if you’re feeling a bit rusty, we recommend a bit of practice to get back into it, or that you adjust the difficulty in the World Modifiers menu.

Mods

Like every time when we update the game, it will take some time for mods to catch up and be playable again. If you’re using mods, it’s therefore recommended that you disable them before you download the Ashlands update, otherwise the game will most likely not launch properly. To disable mods you will also need to remove BepInEx or any other mod loader, as they might try to load regardless.

If you don’t want to play without mods, you will most likely have to wait a couple of days until the mod creator has updated their mod to be compatible with Valheim again.

Makin' time for other things now that I'm not playin' Hearthstone lol. I finished Episode 1 a few minutes ago, and...woah. Gonna avoid spoilers as best I can, but just want to say that it was intense. I need a break after that lol. I love Lucy too (no pun intended). Here's hoping the rest of the season is as good as that first episode!

We've got a bunch of known issues for the new patch, including an unfortunate issue with Macs being unable to buy things in the store.

Also sucks that Cariel Roame and Alexstrasza are removed from the BG pool for now due to issues.

Patch 29.2 is here, bringing with it Battlegrounds Season 7, Battlegrounds Duos, and much more! This is a big patch, so there are a few known issues we’re tracking. Refer to this post for updates throughout this patch.

The known issues we’re tracking this patch include:

• [Shop] Mac desktop clients are unable to access the Shop in patch 29.2. We’re working on a solution to this issue. In the meantime, you can still make any purchases through the web shop or mobile devices.
• [Cosmetics] There is a bug where the default Coin is generated in-game instead of your Favorited Coin. This is scheduled to be fixed in the next major patch.
• [Added 4/16] [Collection] The team is investigating reports of players unable to open their last pack in a stack.
• [Added 4/16] [Battlegrounds] Using Reno’s Hero Power on Persistent Poet results in a visual bug where it looks like adjacent Dragons are also turned Golden.
• [Added 4/16] [Battlegrounds] The team is investigating player reports of getting Floop’s achievements without earning them.
• [Added 4/16] [Hearthstone] The team is tracking reports of the mulligan “confirm” sometimes not working.
• [Added 4/16] [BNet] The team is investigating why players who are in Battlegrounds appear as “Spectating Dragonblight” in the friends list.
• [Added 4/16] [Shop] The team is investigating reports that the screen will sometimes remain blurred after purchasing a product from the shop. In the meantime, clicking through the blur or restarting the client seems to resolve this issue.

• Cariel Roame and Alexstrasza have been temporarily removed from the Hero Pool due to a bug. (Aranna Starseeker and Queen Azshara are also still temporarily removed from the Hero Pool).
• Skycap’n Kragg, Zephrys the Great, Reno Jackson, and Dinotamer Brann have been temporarily removed from the Hero Pool (Duos only) due to various bugs.
• Fluidity has been removed from the Spell Pool for crimes.
• Storm Splitter has been temporarily removed from the Minion Pool (Duos only) due to a bug.

Some highlights include:

• Nine new weapons!
• Crystal Powder, a new resource from reacquiring Corrupted Crystals after the first time.
  • It's used to upgrade Epic weapons to Fantastic mid-run with a new helper NPC, Willy Wonder.
• Summon keyword, with a rework of the Engineer's perks to better align with the new/existing weapons that create allies.
• A new "quest" with a new NPC, Burger Bill, which unlocks additional features in the base camp.
  • The Training Range allows you to test your DPS and mess around with guns you've acquired a card for.

Demon Hunter - No Nerfs Needed

Well isn't that the most bold faced lie ever?!  I honestly don't have a specific list for this, but I'm sure you could probably just slot Ci'Cigi any of the current Aggro DH lists.  Just remove whatever you feel the weakest card is currently and then BAM!  Slap that Collectable Card Game minion right into that spot!  Enjoy some easy wins all while also completing the achievement!  In the below list you could even consider swapping out a Frequency Oscillator as he's horrid if you don't get him early.  If you want to maintain the same amount of early game, maybe Pozzik, Audio Engineer???  He can help disrupt an opponent's game plan, but when played too late he seems to just give the opponent resources to play rather than slowing them down so you don't get some 3/3 mechs.

Steam version v0.2.1.0 has been released.

・Fixed an issue where eggs could not be placed in the egg incubator if you loaded save data from v0.1.5.x or earlier.

This is hilarious. The Discord April Fools joke was the introduction of lootboxes. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to see this actually happen but you can open up lootboxes in your settings as a part of the promotion, a video played to tease it.

Well, it was possible to have the video loop in the background and apparently YouTube counted all the embedded views.

Over 628 million views as of right now, which destroyed the GTA 6 trailer that is currently sitting at 183 Million views.

Hey all! Just curious what decks everyone has been playing so far in Whizbang's Workshop and how far you've gotten along the ladder grind with them. 

Paladin and Mage took a bit of a dive so my two favourite classes are out of the mix (if I look at a purely hardcore competitive standpoint).

I'm currently thinking about completely jumping on the Spell Hunter train to grind out the tavern pass. Games seem to be quick, the deck crushes Death Knights which I've had some problems with, and it is quite an affordable deck considering the potential it has.

Mercenaries doesn't seem to be working for me. All the icons are blank and cannot be clicked on. Issue is on my gaming laptop, but not mobile. Rest of Hearthstone works fine. Any ideas?

You can make your own using tools online and paste them into a comment to upload the images to the site - no external image hosts required!

The latest Event is live, and the first quest requires you to play or destroy Joymancer Jepetto. This could be an issue if you don't have the card, but thankfully the current Brawl has him in two of the deck recepies. Just pick Paladin or Shaman and queue until you can play him. Brawl Guide here.

• You can now create an account with social sites.
  • We currently support Battle.net, Steam, Discord, Twitch, and Twitter.
  • If you want to add one of these accounts to your current Out of Games account so you can login with it, visit Account Management.

Realms

• You can now create image threads!
  • Choose the image option when creating a thread to upload an image.
  • The description field is not mandatory, but we encourage folks to talk about their images.
  • Additionally this overhauls the UI for thread creation to be more inline with how other UI on the site works.
• Threads now have icons!
  • Icons will be replaced by a thumbnail if we can generate one.
    • We generate thumbnails for images and any website link that provides an og:image meta property.
• You can now preview the contents of a thread's original post right from thread listings.

Bug Fixes

General

• Reduced JavaScript Payload
  • We were loading some scripts we were no longer using on the site. Small optimization, but worth noting!

Articles

• Images on article listings will no longer cause layout shifts.

Realms

• Deleting threads now correctly takes you back to the realm the thread belonged to.
• Fixed an issue where tag updating on the thread edit form was causing server errors.

Hearthstone

• Fixed an issue where cards wouldn't load in older expansion guides.

Title. If Zok Fogsnout cost 6-Mana instead of 7, you could play Sing-Along Buddy and your Hero Power in the same turn with Zok. That would make him way better; as it is, you are basically forced to play him at turn 10 or later, the entire turn goes into the combo, and the result is often underwhelming. I could rely on Audio Amplifier, I guess, but outside of this singular situation the deck doesn't really care about that 11th Mana Crystal.

Hero Power Druid could be more fun and rewarding - I love messing with Hero Power-based decks, but the current support for Druid just doesn't seem to get there. Once we're past opening day and the *real* decks come out to play, I imagine Zok, Groovy Cat, and Free Spirit go back to the recycling bin...just like last time :(
