Totally agree with you for the first half ; priest is currently not fun to play nor to play against ... just stale and plain long games that feels pointless : *yawns* ZzzZzzz. I miss the diversity of viable archetypes for priest, that's for sure. As for reverting Raza ... as fun as it is to be on the winning end of the machine gun combo, I don't miss its helpless uninteractivity play style of facing it.
My personal favorite standard ''Infinite'' combo is playing Shudderwock with a bunch of token already into play, after I already played 2x Faceless Corruptor & Barista Lynchen, giving a few Shudderwock copies back to your hand ; rinse & repeat!
Equally, Whispers of the Old Gods came out April 26th/27th. It wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for it to have been further back in the month, especially with how late the New Year announcement is.

After a weekend worth of it, the cycle is completed ; I was having Big Demon 503 Warlock and I faced the very same deck, so the score haven't changed. Let me know if you face anything else pass this point.
