"Priest is always the class to close the Class Master Tournament season and this time RadePPPP from Denmark won against Sakib from Finland! Sakib having already won Warlock and Mage, couldn't make a third entry as a challenger for the priest throne and how unfortunate not to be able to see Sakib, the rising start, going against Zoltan the top player of the tournament...
One more season has come to an end and the feelings are bittersweet. The war in Ukraine has seriously affected Class Master as Zoltan who is an Ukrainian player has vanished since day one of the war. With him missing we also had no way of concluding our tournament in a healthy way, nor we had the opportunity to proceed to our second round of our tournament called "The Class Master's showdown".
Once again, as we did with the closing of our first season, we are going to take about a month or so away from the tournament, to assess our data and come back stronger with the third season! We will for sure miss posting on Hearthpawn and outofcards forums and we would like to take the time, to thank both forums for hosting our tournament news and progress! We really appreciate it, thank you so much!
And now some closing words from the tournament organiser:
"...I had some double thoughts on posting this here but I think that Zoltan wouldn't mind me doing it because after all it does not include any personal information or any information at all that could potentially harm or expose him in a bad manner. I also do not want to overdramatise things or try to sell drama here. I truly don't. These things do not happen every day and this posting here is more of a statement itself of how war destroys everything from minor things like a mere Hearthstone tournament to all that is sacred and the very concept of life as we know it.
I'm trying to wrap my mind around this but no matter how hard I try I simply can't comprehend what is happening. There IS war actually happening in Ukraine but my mind tends to believe that Zoltan just got bored or he just left 121gameon.com (his latest activity was in 13/2/22). There must be some sort of a prank playing on me somehow... For some reason my mind cannot settle with the fact that Zoltan is actually in a war zone and his life is in danger, even if he has told me he lives near Russia and I take it that he is on the eastern side of Ukraine. So I have decided to post two screenshots of our chat on twitter, just the last words we exchanged, leaving out my final replies to him that have been left unanswered, so maybe you feel what I feel. I never new the guy up close but he was part of something I love dearly and that made him instantly part of my life, like all the other players who are all in for my tournament.
...I hope it's not lame of me to post this here, I don't know, some times we make mistakes and bad judgements, if you believe that it is inappropriate what I did please let me know so I remove it. I surely meant no harm. I just hope he is doing alright and that he is somewhere safe, that's all... and this of course goes for all people. I wish I could do more about it, I think we all do. "Here we are again, breathing down the finish line of our second Class Master Tournament season! We welcomed new faces, we saw some well established players go and we also felt the unexpected impact of war "hitting" on our top Class Master... We had a blast organizing this second season and we hope you had a blast too, either by reading about it or actually participating in it!
WARLOCK NEWS:If only Zoltan was here to see the rise of a true challenger! Sakib from Finland won against Trixan Valen from Croatia in the Warlock's finals, making this his 2nd Challenger title along with being a Mage Challenger! Due to the postponing of all throne claiming matches though he never had the chance to actually challenge Zoltan for the thrones! We're thinking of interviewing Sakib and see what he feels about that! Congratulations Sakib for an excellent performance!
PRIEST NEWS: Our last finalists for this season have been concluded! Should we say the name? Sakib from Finland has done it once again, gaining a strong reputation among his antagonists, ЛевПрыгун (Leo Jumper) from Russia another new face has also made an entry, Denmark is also here with RadePPPP another relatively new player and last but not least Vatli from Ukraine, who because of a double entry that happened in his group, won qualification in the position of the culprit who did the double entry! This time the "second chance card" is granted to another new face, Агент37 (agent 37). Because of Zoltan still being the Class Master in 6 out of 10 classes, Ukraine, his country, continues to hold the benefit of being the Capital of the Tournament, granting a disqualified Ukrainian player a second chance!
...So, with the priest finals this Sunday the 3rd of April 2022, we bid you farewell! We will try to interview Sakib for being the new upcoming player in the tournament, without ever forgetting Zoltan and his contribution to the Class Master world. Stay tune for our closing speech!"

MAGE NEWS: Congratulation to our one and only Finnish player Sakib! He is now the new challenger for the Mage throne upon which sits Zoltan from Ukraine! Needless to say that there will be no Throne claiming match until the situation with Zoltan resolves and everything comes to a good ending. Until then, Sakib will have to have patience and wait for a shot at the Mage Class Master title!
WARLOCK NEWS: We have concluded our Warlock finalists! Starting with Sakib from Finland who also became the challenger for the Mage throne and continuing with Ramajana from Kyrgyzstan we already see two eager new faces taking the lead in the Warlocks Ziggurats! Trixan Velen from Croatia is another relevantly new player and Bright Hammer from Ukraine who has once more make a break through since we do not usually see his name in the finalists! Congratulation to all and may the best Warlock wins!
...So in other news, with the Hearthstone Class Master Tournament concluding its second round of tests we are to take a long hiatus and process all the data we have gathered in order to draw some important conclusions, reassess the situation and come back stronger anew! MAGE NEWS: Unfortunately Mini Ninja from Denmark joined two different Tower groups and there for Tower C participants must come to a rematch in order to conclude the Mage qualifiers round! However Mini Ninja won Tower B along with Mini Titan from Ukraine and Sakib from Finland, yes, our brand new one and only Finnish player! We typically mention that Mini Ninja was of course disqualified for his double entry from Tower C. Congratulation to all qualifiers and we're now waiting for the rematch of Tower C to conclude the Mages round!
...on other news, Zoltan, our current Ukrainian champion on 6 classes have not given any signs of life since his last reply on the 25th of February. We do not want to bring grim news and sadness in the colorful universe of Hearthstone but since these news affect our tournament we thought we should keep you posted. This is the last time reporting about this until we actually have any news on the matter. We would like for the last time to express our sadness and stand against the idea of War either it be external in the world around us or internal in our own body and soul. May we people someday find a way to end or even manage such conflicts in our lives in a peaceful manner. We know that wishing never helped anything but a wish and the right to change, each one of us as individuals in our own lives was, is and if the laws of the universe permit it, will continue to be our natural given right. HUNTER NEWS: Dawaaagh from Russia, is the challenger for the Hunter Throne but unfortunately as you might already know, the Class Master tournament decided to postpone all throne claim matches due to Zoltan, the current class master of most of the classes, being from Ukraine a country at war. Zoltan have not given any signs of life since a week ago that the war has started and there for it is impossible for him to attend the defending of his thrones. We used to talk every day about the future of the tournament but now he is nowhere to be found. We truly hope he is alive and well and for this madness to end as soon as possible.
We hope all players no matter their country origin to find shelter under Hearthstone and our tournament where all players are equal through mutual respect."

ROGUE NEWS: After giving it some serious thought, we have decided to continue the tournament but only by taking some very serious decisions on how to handle players from Ukraine! Russian players do not seem to have any issues participating at the moment and therefor we have no changes that directly affect them. We have decided to postpone all throne claiming matches involving our Ukrainian player and Class Master of 6 classes, Zoltan. His challengers have and will be notified accordingly. We must inform you that unfortunately we have lost communication with Zoltan since two days ago. We only wish that he is safe and well and for this madness to be resolved as quickly as possible.

Anime cheater is a very old Class Master player from Latvia, who participated in the early stages of the Class Master tournament back in season one and took a long time off of it for whatever reason! 1. So, tell us a bit about yourself, who are you in real life and how was Wels created
Hi my name is Lubos, I am 31 yers old and I am from Czech Republic. In real life, I am working as a teacher on high school.
2. Why Wels, what is so special about that name? Any story behind it?
My nick was created long time ago. I think it is like 16 years ago. First game where I used that nick was Warcraft III. The meaning of that nick is quite simple. It is 4 first letters of names. That names are people who were close to me.
3. What are your thoughts on Hearthstone as a game? What do you think is the best thing about it and what is the worst, if any? What would you add or change from the game?
I like HS very much. One of the reasons is the connection to Warcraft lore that I love. The best thing about the game for me is playing for board. The worst at the moment is too much OTK possibilities. I hope there will be more space for tempo decks.
4. What do you think about the Hearthstone Class Master tournament? Anything you would add or change maybe?
The Hearthstone Class Master tournament is great opportunity to compete with other players without difficult preparation. I am mainly standard player so I would like to play these tournaments with standard format also.
5. This Sunday you're to play in the Rogue finals. If you win and become a challenger, you will confront Zoltan, the strongest player of the tournament, for the throne of the rogue Class Master, any thoughts on that?
I've played with Zoltan a few times around a year ago and I have to say that he is a very strong opponent.
6. What do you consider yourself to be as a Hearthstone player? A novice, a casual or a veteran? The statistics in the Class Master tournament are placing you close to the top.
I am playing HS from TGT but I consider myself more like casual player.
7. What is the class that you believe you are the best at playing?
That should be Rogue or Warlock.
8. Class Master tournament endorses some very unique features like "The journey of self worth". If you are a Class Master sitting on your throne, you have two options: A) you sit and wait for the challenger to challenge your throne or B) you start a "journey of self worth" which means that you leave your throne, re-enter the tournament and you re-claim it! ...but if you lose during your journey, you also lose your throne too. What do you think about that feature?
I think that is great thing. Get 2 options and make own decision based on self-confidence.
9. Any last words to your brothers and sisters in the Class Master tournament? Any last words to the Hearthstone enthusiasts reading your interview in the forums?

"...You all know the name by now, he is currently the most powerful player of the Class Master Tournament and the Class Master of 6 different classes, Rogue, Demon Hunter, Hunter, Mage, Warlock and Priest. He is one step away from also becoming the Warrior Class Master if he manages to defeat Docw0w who is currently sitting on the Warrior's throne, but he won't stop there! By wining the Druid's finals this Sunday, he will also have a shot at the throne against УшлыйСтраус(quirky ostrich). 1. Tell us a bit about yourself, who are you in real life and how "zoltan" the player was created?
I am a copywriter/editor. Games are my hobby. I used to play world of warcraft. I got tired of the game and decided to try another Blizzard game - Hearthstone. So I created my account.
2. Why "Zoltan" and not another name? What is so special about it?
The history of my nickname is simple - I liked the Heroes of Might and Magic series of games. There was a necromancer, Zoltan that I liked. I took this name and used it everywhere from then and on.
3. What do you think about Hearthstone as a game? What is the best thing about it and what do you think should be improved?
Hearthstone is a great relaxing game! Simple and complex at the same time. I would really like to see tournaments with cash prizes inside the game it self, as a separate tournament mode.
4. What do you think about the Hearthstone Class Master tournament? Something you love about it? Something you would change or add maybe?
This is a great idea and I really like the design of the site! It is at a very high level and looks epic. Would love to see higher prize pools in the future 🙂
5. How does it feel to be the most valuable player of the tournament?
I don't consider myself special, I just do something better than others. But it's always nice to win!
6. How come and you were defeated by Fizzy Elf (THEYHATE) in the Shaman's finals? Were you dealt a bad opening hand? Was he actually better?
To be honest, I just didn't sleep well that day, and the game was early in the morning on the weekend 🙂 Next time I will win!
7. Any thoughts on the cheating issue you had in the Warrior's finals last Sunday? Why do you believe people turn to cheating when they obviously know that they will get caught?
I didn't like this experience, the person didn't want to play but just wanted to get a prize by cheating - It's not good to do this, I hope he will be disqualified for this.
8. Is there another player in the Class master tournament that you would rather not have as an opponent? If so can you tell us their name?
No there are no such people. I am ready to play with any opponent!
9. Any last words to your opponents and the people that are following you in the Class Master tournament?
Play and enjoy the game - this is the main thing!

Fizzy Elf could not attend his throne challenge and after several efforts by our team to contact him, Wels was pronounced the rightful Shaman Class Master for the season! How unfortunate for Fizzy Elf! Wels, may continue his rule over the Shamans but he has been deprived of the Spell card that would strengthen his reign since there was no actual challenger present!
WARRIOR NEWS:Lo and behold! Zoltan from Ukraine has done it once again! He is the challenger of the Warrior's throne! Docw0w, hailing from the same country is going to have a very hard time defending his title this Sunday! In other news, we had an unfortunate event as one of the players tried to cheat! We have informed the rest of the players accordingly and we chose to withhold the name of the "culprit" because we wish to display kindness and good will against player mistakes and misjudgements. Needless to say that he was immediately disqualified and the victory was awarded to his opponent.

The candidate challengers for the druid throne are, surprise surprise, Zoltan from Ukraine, Mini Ninja from Canada, a Canadian player playing in European servers, Wels from Czech Republic and current Shaman Class Master, and Sleepy Bear from Bosnia Herzegovina, a new and fresh tournament entry! Let us not forget Ukraine's benefit for a disqualified Ukrainian player to re enter the finals! This time, Смертохвост (Death tail) has a second chance!
...So, blood boils for the Class Masters thrones! Zoltan craves to overthrow Docw0w in order to claim another Class Master throne, this time the Warrior's throne, reaching a total of 7 Class Master titles under his belt!

"Next Sunday 23/01/22, a new season for the Hearthstone Class Master tournament opens with the SHAMANS and with it comes an open door for all Hearthstone players to participate in our tournament! 121gameon has agreed to help with the changes needed and from now on we' re to see groups for players from all Hearthstone servers! For now Europe and North America groups are listed (please make sure to read each group's title before registering) but soon we'll open groups for the rest of the servers. Since Europe is where our main player base is, we open 4 groups while for North America we open only 2, one for the east coast and one for the west coast. If we count a rise in registrations, we will of course open more! We would also like to kindly ask for your patience as 121gameon is slowly rolling out their updating with their site. What is the Class Master Showdown?
In the first round of our Tournament, we seek to find the best of each class and we award them with the title of the Class Master
In the second round we bring those Class Masters together to compete for the best Class Master of all! This is the "Class Masters showdown."
What are the rules of the Showdown?
Have from one up to three wild decks available and switch between them whenever you want (even during a game)
It's a best of three format (first to win 2 rounds wins the game)
It's a league! Everyone plays with everyone!
Victory awards 2 points, loss awards 0 points and tie awards 1 point to each player!
What happens if a player is the Class Master of multiple classes?
That player won't play against the classes they are already a Class Master
That player is awarded 2 points for each class they are already a Class Master, starting with an advantage that will place them at the top of the league's leader board!

So, lets do a review on few things to consider, in case you're thinking of participating in the NA Class Master tournament:

The Class Master tournament test runs are 100% free to join!
You all know by now that they pay all participants a symbolic amount that can buy you... *drum roll* candy! (candy makes kids happy)
It's a wild decks showdown
It's a best of three format (the first player to win two rounds wins the game)
You can use from 1 up to 3 different decks during your games
You must be a resident of Americas (North and south America) to participate
Join us on discord for easy access to contact the organizer (Dimitris Giordas), to get passwords for access to your finals, any last minute changes and more!
The Class Master series is for all ages and all skill/deck levels. After the test runs are concluded, by gathering data from the games of our players, we're making an effort to create skill divisions!
Skill divisions: Based on the victory/defeat ratio of our players during the test runs, we're thinking of breaking participants in three different categories:
Novice
Intermediate
Master
Once the divisions are created and based always to player participation and interest shown, we're to try match players of the same skill/deck power to compete with each other and either get promoted to a higher division, or rule their class as Class Masters in their division. So, do not get frustrated if the competition is fierce and you can't win, keep on playing so next round we can match you with players closest to your skill/deck level. More on this in a future post!
Although we were to launch NA tournament test runs in late 2022, we thought to give it an early try just to get the pulse from the North America Hearthstone enthusiasts. In case our concerns of opening early are valid and participation levels are very low, we will close the NA test runs and revisit them late 2022 as was scheduled from the beginning.

"...And we're back online! Mailchinp was very kind and patient with us, they explained what we did wrong, which was that we did nothing wrong but it was rather something that their bot did. The bot is checking their sites for breaches reporting back to mailchimp its findings. Mailchimp then checks to see if there is a credible breach on the bot's reports. Until they check, the site that is under investigation goes off line! I need to say that the people at mailchimp treated us professionally and with dignity through out our communication and the resolving of our issue! Thank you mailchimp for providing us a place to thrive and for being the professionals that you are.
So, lets get back to our final class! The Cathedrals are all full? Wait a minute! There seem to be two more slots left to be filled completely!

...And now for some bittersweet news. The sweet part of the news is that after the meeting between the organizer and the people from 121gameon, one of the conclusions from the things discussed was to open for North America too! But hold your horses! The bitter part of the news is something rather unexpected, the Hearthstone Class Master Championship site got banned! According to mailchimp, the company that hosts the Class Master site, we violated some of their terms and conditions and therefor they had to ban us. We're currently trying to resolve this issue as we truly meant no harm to the mailchimp's reputation. Our site remains off line until further notice. We hold no hard feelings against mailchimp and we completely understand and need to respect their policy, yet it is only fair to understand what exactly did we do and if there is a way we can fix the issue so we continue using their services. We want nothing more. There is currently a conversation taking place between us through email and we for sure hope for the best! Until then, the tournament may be put on a halt!

SEASON CLOSING FAREWELL!
"Priest is always the class to close the Class Master Tournament season and this time RadePPPP from Denmark won against Sakib from Finland! Sakib having already won Warlock and Mage, couldn't make a third entry as a challenger for the priest throne and how unfortunate not to be able to see Sakib, the rising start, going against Zoltan the top player of the tournament...
One more season has come to an end and the feelings are bittersweet. The war in Ukraine has seriously affected Class Master as Zoltan who is an Ukrainian player has vanished since day one of the war. With him missing we also had no way of concluding our tournament in a healthy way, nor we had the opportunity to proceed to our second round of our tournament called "The Class Master's showdown".
Once again, as we did with the closing of our first season, we are going to take about a month or so away from the tournament, to assess our data and come back stronger with the third season! We will for sure miss posting on Hearthpawn and outofcards forums and we would like to take the time, to thank both forums for hosting our tournament news and progress! We really appreciate it, thank you so much!
And now some closing words from the tournament organiser:
"...I had some double thoughts on posting this here but I think that Zoltan wouldn't mind me doing it because after all it does not include any personal information or any information at all that could potentially harm or expose him in a bad manner. I also do not want to overdramatise things or try to sell drama here. I truly don't. These things do not happen every day and this posting here is more of a statement itself of how war destroys everything from minor things like a mere Hearthstone tournament to all that is sacred and the very concept of life as we know it.
I'm trying to wrap my mind around this but no matter how hard I try I simply can't comprehend what is happening. There IS war actually happening in Ukraine but my mind tends to believe that Zoltan just got bored or he just left 121gameon.com (his latest activity was in 13/2/22). There must be some sort of a prank playing on me somehow... For some reason my mind cannot settle with the fact that Zoltan is actually in a war zone and his life is in danger, even if he has told me he lives near Russia and I take it that he is on the eastern side of Ukraine. So I have decided to post two screenshots of our chat on twitter, just the last words we exchanged, leaving out my final replies to him that have been left unanswered, so maybe you feel what I feel. I never new the guy up close but he was part of something I love dearly and that made him instantly part of my life, like all the other players who are all in for my tournament.
...I hope it's not lame of me to post this here, I don't know, some times we make mistakes and bad judgements, if you believe that it is inappropriate what I did please let me know so I remove it. I surely meant no harm. I just hope he is doing alright and that he is somewhere safe, that's all... and this of course goes for all people. I wish I could do more about it, I think we all do. "Here we are again, breathing down the finish line of our second Class Master Tournament season! We welcomed new faces, we saw some well established players go and we also felt the unexpected impact of war "hitting" on our top Class Master... We had a blast organizing this second season and we hope you had a blast too, either by reading about it or actually participating in it!
WARLOCK NEWS: If only Zoltan was here to see the rise of a true challenger! Sakib from Finland won against Trixan Valen from Croatia in the Warlock's finals, making this his 2nd Challenger title along with being a Mage Challenger! Due to the postponing of all throne claiming matches though he never had the chance to actually challenge Zoltan for the thrones! We're thinking of interviewing Sakib and see what he feels about that! Congratulations Sakib for an excellent performance!
PRIEST NEWS: Our last finalists for this season have been concluded! Should we say the name? Sakib from Finland has done it once again, gaining a strong reputation among his antagonists, ЛевПрыгун (Leo Jumper) from Russia another new face has also made an entry, Denmark is also here with RadePPPP another relatively new player and last but not least Vatli from Ukraine, who because of a double entry that happened in his group, won qualification in the position of the culprit who did the double entry! This time the "second chance card" is granted to another new face, Агент37 (agent 37). Because of Zoltan still being the Class Master in 6 out of 10 classes, Ukraine, his country, continues to hold the benefit of being the Capital of the Tournament, granting a disqualified Ukrainian player a second chance!
...So, with the priest finals this Sunday the 3rd of April 2022, we bid you farewell! We will try to interview Sakib for being the new upcoming player in the tournament, without ever forgetting Zoltan and his contribution to the Class Master world. Stay tune for our closing speech!"

Hearthstone Class Master has come a full circle for its second time and with this one we will probably take a long hiatus before coming back for the third season! PALADIN NEWS: We got a new Paladin Class Master! Dire Raven from Serbia overthrew The Zimny from the Paladin throne and now he has become the new Paladin Class Master! Poland is off the Class Master map and Serbia has just made its first entry! Congratulation to our new Paladin Class Master! May your reign last a long time!
MAGE NEWS: Congratulation to our one and only Finnish player Sakib! He is now the new challenger for the Mage throne upon which sits Zoltan from Ukraine! Needless to say that there will be no Throne claiming match until the situation with Zoltan resolves and everything comes to a good ending. Until then, Sakib will have to have patience and wait for a shot at the Mage Class Master title!
WARLOCK NEWS: We have concluded our Warlock finalists! Starting with Sakib from Finland who also became the challenger for the Mage throne and continuing with Ramajana from Kyrgyzstan we already see two eager new faces taking the lead in the Warlocks Ziggurats! Trixan Velen from Croatia is another relevantly new player and Bright Hammer from Ukraine who has once more make a break through since we do not usually see his name in the finalists! Congratulation to all and may the best Warlock wins!
...So in other news, with the Hearthstone Class Master Tournament concluding its second round of tests we are to take a long hiatus and process all the data we have gathered in order to draw some important conclusions, reassess the situation and come back stronger anew! "You feel like Fel and shadow magic consumes you? Is your favorite dish Fel dripping fish? What did you say? There are no such things? That's OK no worries, warlock can be your favorite class even if the closer you ever got on casting a shadow spell was casting your own shadow on the road during a shiny day! Warlock loves you and won't judge you like you also won't judge him for constantly slapping himself in the face on his turn. If that makes him happy who are you to judge! Warlocks are open so make sure to grab a spot!
PALADIN NEWS: Dire Raven from Serbia was the winner of the Paladin finals and now he's preparing to play against The Zimny (The Frost) from Poland! The Zimny will try to defend his Paladin Class Master throne but Dire Raven may prove himself worthy and take it over! If so Serbia will make an entry in the Hearthstone Class Master tournament map! MAGE NEWS: Unfortunately Mini Ninja from Denmark joined two different Tower groups and there for Tower C participants must come to a rematch in order to conclude the Mage qualifiers round! However Mini Ninja won Tower B along with Mini Titan from Ukraine and Sakib from Finland, yes, our brand new one and only Finnish player! We typically mention that Mini Ninja was of course disqualified for his double entry from Tower C. Congratulation to all qualifiers and we're now waiting for the rematch of Tower C to conclude the Mages round!
...on other news, Zoltan, our current Ukrainian champion on 6 classes have not given any signs of life since his last reply on the 25th of February. We do not want to bring grim news and sadness in the colorful universe of Hearthstone but since these news affect our tournament we thought we should keep you posted. This is the last time reporting about this until we actually have any news on the matter. We would like for the last time to express our sadness and stand against the idea of War either it be external in the world around us or internal in our own body and soul. May we people someday find a way to end or even manage such conflicts in our lives in a peaceful manner. We know that wishing never helped anything but a wish and the right to change, each one of us as individuals in our own lives was, is and if the laws of the universe permit it, will continue to be our natural given right. So let us all unite under games and take the time to find a way to do this for our kids."

HUNTER NEWS: Dawaaagh from Russia, is the challenger for the Hunter Throne but unfortunately as you might already know, the Class Master tournament decided to postpone all throne claim matches due to Zoltan, the current class master of most of the classes, being from Ukraine a country at war. Zoltan have not given any signs of life since a week ago that the war has started and there for it is impossible for him to attend the defending of his thrones. We used to talk every day about the future of the tournament but now he is nowhere to be found. We truly hope he is alive and well and for this madness to end as soon as possible.
We hope all players no matter their country origin to find shelter under Hearthstone and our tournament where all players are equal through mutual respect."

DEMON HUNTER NEWS: Mini Ninja has done it again! Denmark claims its second Class Throne! Dire Raven from Serbia was unable to stop Mini Ninja and with the former Demon Hunter Class Master Zoltan having lost the throne by failing to conclude his journey of self worth, the throne now has been claimed! Mini Ninja rides on claiming his second class in the season! Congratulations!
ROGUE NEWS: After giving it some serious thought, we have decided to continue the tournament but only by taking some very serious decisions on how to handle players from Ukraine! Russian players do not seem to have any issues participating at the moment and therefor we have no changes that directly affect them. We have decided to postpone all throne claiming matches involving our Ukrainian player and Class Master of 6 classes, Zoltan. His challengers have and will be notified accordingly. We must inform you that unfortunately we have lost communication with Zoltan since two days ago. We only wish that he is safe and well and for this madness to be resolved as quickly as possible.
HUNTER NEWS: Our Hunter finalists have been concluded! Dawaaagh from Russia is a brand new participant, looking forward to prove himself worthy! Anime cheater is a very old Class Master player from Latvia, who participated in the early stages of the Class Master tournament back in season one and took a long time off of it for whatever reason! Now he's back on track on his way of becoming the next Hunter challenger! CrniFOCUS is one of the two Swedish players we're currently hosting in our tournament, a rather new entry who also wants a piece of action! And last but not least Xllfrom Ukraine, one of the few Ukrainian players who actually managed to be online last Sunday and claim a spot of becoming the new hunter Class Master challenger! "Wels is the current Shaman Class Master, aiming to become a challenger this Sunday and have a shot at the Rogue's throne against Zoltan! His name pops up in every class tournament every week and he is also present in most finals! Ambitious and consistent he expresses his views on Hearthstone and the Class Master tournament. We chose to use about the same questionnaire that we used with Zoltan in order to compare the views of players of different dynamics. We will do the same with our last interviewee! Enjoy!"
1. So, tell us a bit about yourself, who are you in real life and how was Wels created
Hi my name is Lubos, I am 31 yers old and I am from Czech Republic. In real life, I am working as a teacher on high school.
2. Why Wels, what is so special about that name? Any story behind it?
My nick was created long time ago. I think it is like 16 years ago. First game where I used that nick was Warcraft III. The meaning of that nick is quite simple. It is 4 first letters of names. That names are people who were close to me.
3. What are your thoughts on Hearthstone as a game? What do you think is the best thing about it and what is the worst, if any? What would you add or change from the game?
I like HS very much. One of the reasons is the connection to Warcraft lore that I love. The best thing about the game for me is playing for board. The worst at the moment is too much OTK possibilities. I hope there will be more space for tempo decks.
4. What do you think about the Hearthstone Class Master tournament? Anything you would add or change maybe?
The Hearthstone Class Master tournament is great opportunity to compete with other players without difficult preparation. I am mainly standard player so I would like to play these tournaments with standard format also.
5. This Sunday you're to play in the Rogue finals. If you win and become a challenger, you will confront Zoltan, the strongest player of the tournament, for the throne of the rogue Class Master, any thoughts on that?
I've played with Zoltan a few times around a year ago and I have to say that he is a very strong opponent.
6. What do you consider yourself to be as a Hearthstone player? A novice, a casual or a veteran? The statistics in the Class Master tournament are placing you close to the top.
I am playing HS from TGT but I consider myself more like casual player.
7. What is the class that you believe you are the best at playing?
That should be Rogue or Warlock.
8. Class Master tournament endorses some very unique features like "The journey of self worth". If you are a Class Master sitting on your throne, you have two options: A) you sit and wait for the challenger to challenge your throne or B) you start a "journey of self worth" which means that you leave your throne, re-enter the tournament and you re-claim it! ...but if you lose during your journey, you also lose your throne too. What do you think about that feature?
I think that is great thing. Get 2 options and make own decision based on self-confidence.
9. Any last words to your brothers and sisters in the Class Master tournament? Any last words to the Hearthstone enthusiasts reading your interview in the forums?

WARRIOR NEWS: It was the most possible scenario so it was expected... Zoltan is now the new Warrior Class Master! What was unexpected was Docw0w forfeiting the game by not attending! It is a shame to see a Class Master lose their throne in such dishonored way! We tried to contact him in time but we failed to reach out and find him! Zoltan is now 3 steps away of becoming the first tournament's Dynasty! 7 out of 10 classes are under his name and only three to go!
DRUID NEWS: It was Zoltan against Mini Ninja for the title of the challenger for the druid throne! Who won? Zol... nope! Mini Ninja was awarded the victory after Zoltan came down with a cold and couldn't attend the confrontation! First of all we would like to apologize for a misinformation, as Mini Ninja is not a Canadian player but a player from Denmark. We would also like to inform our players that they can contact us as early as possible when and if there is an issue and they cannot attend their finals matches as we can try and reschedule for a time that will suit them the best! Other than that, congratulation to Mini Ninja and best of luck on confronting Quirky Ostrich on the Druid Throne this Sunday!
ROGUE NEWS: The Rogue finals are also up for this Sunday 20/02/22 and our finalists are here! Nurs from Serbia striving hard to become a challenger in almost every class round, Wels from Czech Republic who is also the Shaman Class Master, Roberto from Poland who just made his first entry to finals ever!!! And Xll from Ukraine, maybe the newest entry to the tournament! Ukraine continues to lead the Class Master with the most participants and with Zoltan claiming 7 classes, everything looks like it will continue to be the capital of the tournament next season!
...But do you maybe remember, who is sitting currently on the Rogue throne? You know the name, you guessed it right, it is Zoltan! Whoever becomes the challenger this Sunday will have to face the terror for becoming the next Rogue Class Master!
So, who's gonna be the challenger for the rogues? Imagine in a wild twist of events we see Roberto against Zoltan, facing total obliteration! Ha ha, calm down, we have faith in our underdogs! ...Or maybe Wels, claiming his second class throne!

"...You all know the name by now, he is currently the most powerful player of the Class Master Tournament and the Class Master of 6 different classes, Rogue, Demon Hunter, Hunter, Mage, Warlock and Priest. He is one step away from also becoming the Warrior Class Master if he manages to defeat Docw0w who is currently sitting on the Warrior's throne, but he won't stop there! By wining the Druid's finals this Sunday, he will also have a shot at the throne against УшлыйСтраус (quirky ostrich). If everything goes in his favor and wins those matches he will become the Class Master of 8 different classes, leaving out only 2, the Shaman and the Paladin! "The Hearthstone Class Master Tournament continues and it is full of thrills and surprises! The Druids now give way to the Rogues! The Dens are opening once again to host all who wish to serve the rogue class and wish to have a shot at the Class Master title and throne! It is still early and there is plenty of space for you to occupy!
SHAMAN NEWS: As all who's following us on instagram probably know, Wels, the current Shaman Class Master from Czech Republic, has successfully defended his shaman throne from... well, no one!! Fizzy Elf could not attend his throne challenge and after several efforts by our team to contact him, Wels was pronounced the rightful Shaman Class Master for the season! How unfortunate for Fizzy Elf! Wels, may continue his rule over the Shamans but he has been deprived of the Spell card that would strengthen his reign since there was no actual challenger present!
WARRIOR NEWS: Lo and behold! Zoltan from Ukraine has done it once again! He is the challenger of the Warrior's throne! Docw0w, hailing from the same country is going to have a very hard time defending his title this Sunday! In other news, we had an unfortunate event as one of the players tried to cheat! We have informed the rest of the players accordingly and we chose to withhold the name of the "culprit" because we wish to display kindness and good will against player mistakes and misjudgements. Needless to say that he was immediately disqualified and the victory was awarded to his opponent.
DRUID NEWS: Congratulation to our finalists! The candidate challengers for the druid throne are, surprise surprise, Zoltan from Ukraine, Mini Ninja from Canada, a Canadian player playing in European servers, Wels from Czech Republic and current Shaman Class Master, and Sleepy Bear from Bosnia Herzegovina, a new and fresh tournament entry! Let us not forget Ukraine's benefit for a disqualified Ukrainian player to re enter the finals! This time, Смертохвост (Death tail) has a second chance!
...So, blood boils for the Class Masters thrones! Zoltan craves to overthrow Docw0w in order to claim another Class Master throne, this time the Warrior's throne, reaching a total of 7 Class Master titles under his belt!
Wels, will also try to become a challenger and have a shot at claiming the Druid throne, reaching a total of 2 Class Master titles but, he's got Zoltan blocking his way! Will he be able to defeat him? Odds are against him but you never know!

SHAMAN NEWS: We had a surprise within the Shamans ranks as Zoltan from Ukraine, the most valuable player of the tournament, lost to Fizzy Elf from Russia depriving him the chance to claim the Shaman Class Master throne from Wels! Fizzy Elf is to challenge Wels for the Shaman throne this Sunday 06/10/22! Wels, representing Czech republic will try to defend his throne, keeping his country into the tournament and strengthening further his reign by obtaining a spell card which he will be allowed to use against any future challenger!
WARRIOR NEWS: Our warrior finalists have been concluded! Congratulations to NuRs from Serbia, Wels, the current Shaman Class Master from Czech Republic, ЯркийМолот (Bright Hammer) from Ukraine and of course Zoltan from Ukraine who is currently the Class Master of 6 classes! Let us not forget the privilege of Ukrainian players, which allows for a second chance to a disqualified player from that country! Again, this privilege was given to Ukraine after becoming the tournament's capital by obtaining a total of 8 classes! By claiming this right, MoZya (AKA MeeLike) is entering the finals!

"Next Sunday 23/01/22, a new season for the Hearthstone Class Master tournament opens with the SHAMANS and with it comes an open door for all Hearthstone players to participate in our tournament! 121gameon has agreed to help with the changes needed and from now on we' re to see groups for players from all Hearthstone servers! For now Europe and North America groups are listed (please make sure to read each group's title before registering) but soon we'll open groups for the rest of the servers. Since Europe is where our main player base is, we open 4 groups while for North America we open only 2, one for the east coast and one for the west coast. If we count a rise in registrations, we will of course open more! We would also like to kindly ask for your patience as 121gameon is slowly rolling out their updating with their site. If you encounter any bugs, please let us know so we can inform them, or contact directly the live chat support on their site.

"...Mission failed, we'll get them next time! Well, at least we tried. The North America site will be taken down as we had zero participants to the Shaman bogs last Sunday!! After giving it some thought though, we are to make an effort to keep our Class master tournament open worldwide. In order to do this we will have to have another meeting with the guys from 121gameon.com so we set some things straight and maybe make some changes on their site too in order to make what we want possible. We can't guarantee that we will be successful for now but we surely want to try! Word has it that someone or some players tried to join the Shaman Bogs but were met with a message that was saying that they had not sufficient decks in order to participate! So we want to have a closer look on what caused this problem there.

NORTH AMERICA OPENS!
"...The answer is yes! Yep, it is true, the brand new North America website is up and running and we are announcing our first class to open the NA tournament test runs this Sunday 27/12/21! So, lets do a review on few things to consider, in case you're thinking of participating in the NA Class Master tournament:
Skill divisions: Based on the victory/defeat ratio of our players during the test runs, we're thinking of breaking participants in three different categories:
Once the divisions are created and based always to player participation and interest shown, we're to try match players of the same skill/deck power to compete with each other and either get promoted to a higher division, or rule their class as Class Masters in their division. So, do not get frustrated if the competition is fierce and you can't win, keep on playing so next round we can match you with players closest to your skill/deck level. More on this in a future post!
Although we were to launch NA tournament test runs in late 2022, we thought to give it an early try just to get the pulse from the North America Hearthstone enthusiasts. In case our concerns of opening early are valid and participation levels are very low, we will close the NA test runs and revisit them late 2022 as was scheduled from the beginning.

"...And we're back online! Mailchinp was very kind and patient with us, they explained what we did wrong, which was that we did nothing wrong but it was rather something that their bot did. The bot is checking their sites for breaches reporting back to mailchimp its findings. Mailchimp then checks to see if there is a credible breach on the bot's reports. Until they check, the site that is under investigation goes off line! I need to say that the people at mailchimp treated us professionally and with dignity through out our communication and the resolving of our issue! Thank you mailchimp for providing us a place to thrive and for being the professionals that you are.
So, lets get back to our final class! The Cathedrals are all full? Wait a minute! There seem to be two more slots left to be filled completely!

WILD PRIEST CLASS TOURNAMENT, IS NOW OPEN!
"At long last... we come to the end of our first season! Priest is the class to close the Class Master tournament test runs and the participation levels are off the charts! Looks like Warlock and Priest have the biggest fan base! So, the Cathedrals are open but the slots are few! Anduin had something to say but was interrupted by a sudden turn of events you will get to read more about in the lines that follow!
...And now for some bittersweet news. The sweet part of the news is that after the meeting between the organizer and the people from 121gameon, one of the conclusions from the things discussed was to open for North America too! But hold your horses! The bitter part of the news is something rather unexpected, the Hearthstone Class Master Championship site got banned! According to mailchimp, the company that hosts the Class Master site, we violated some of their terms and conditions and therefor they had to ban us. We're currently trying to resolve this issue as we truly meant no harm to the mailchimp's reputation. Our site remains off line until further notice. We hold no hard feelings against mailchimp and we completely understand and need to respect their policy, yet it is only fair to understand what exactly did we do and if there is a way we can fix the issue so we continue using their services. We want nothing more. There is currently a conversation taking place between us through email and we for sure hope for the best! Until then, the tournament may be put on a halt!
