I mean lackeys are worth about 2 mana anyways, it seems like a fair tradeoff. I don't think it would see play in zoo if it weren't for the lackey theme, but it's so important that you consistently have a lackey to destroy on turn 4 that i think you still play it.
remember that you can't heal things if they aren't damaged. it's obviously not as much of a problem for priests as it is for paladins/druids, but it could definitely hinder this card's playability.
It's a really strong payoff if you can damage yourself enough to complete it. I can foresee it potentially being weak if it's too slow to turn the tide against aggro decks and too hard to finish against control decks (if they're smart enough to not damage you)
You'd have to play him in a deck that incidentally makes a ton of spells that end up rotting in your hand. New quest mage or a shaman deck with Hagatha come to mind.
I'm so excited for this guy. Wild reno decks have always been my fav.

this card is fucking absurd in all formats. it might replace fiery war axe in wild pirate warrior imo
i'm really excited to play Reno the Relicologist in wild reno mage, since that's always been my favorite archetype :)

i don't think lazul's scheme is terrible, especially compared to dr. boom's. it's even played in the best priest deck right now, nomi priest.
