The next Pokémon TCG Pocket expansion will release on September 29th, and it's the annual reprint pack. Deluxe Pack MEGA doesn't bring any new card mechanically, instead being more of a catch-up pack of the most used cards in the B-series sets, something the paper game does as well.
Each pack will have at least an EX, but the packs will only have 4 card rather than the usual 5. Still, this is a great way for new players to catch up or old players to complete their missing collections. There will be some new full-art cards for collectors to chase, and last year's Deluxe Pack: ex should also make a come-back.
In the paper game, those kinds of expansions release when a series ends. We're currently in B-series, with Deluxe Pack: MEGA having the B4b code. This means that C series will begin in October. Those series are used for rotation, but don't expect that to happen this year.
What are your thoughts on this set release? Are you going to fill your collection, chase some of the new cards, or are you simply saving your hourglasses for the next set? Let us know in the comments below!
