  • No, it's a basic card. Demon Hunter just won't have classic cards until sometime next year, when they decide which cards from these next 3 expansions/the Demon Hunter Initiate set that they want to make evergreen. The basic cards are going to be here to stay though, so you can get Inner Demon from Zephyrs if the situation presents itself. I believe that it was said in some ask the devs Reddit thread or something, but don't quote me on that.

  • So...

Sightless Watcher is insane, and the fact that it's a basic card, meaning that it will be forever in Standard until it gets either HoF'ed or nerfed to the ground is scary stuff.

Inner Demon looks like it's supposed to be a finisher, but paying 4 times more than Heroic Strike to have double the attack doesn't sound that exciting, even though DH will get in AoO Kayn Sunfury. It is indeed a basic card, power level wise - and let's hope it stays that way.

Altruis the Outcast is a really good card that lightens the burden of playing sub-optimally to trigger the Outcast effects on your cards, and makes your overpowered Outcast cards even more broken. Maybe a little too overpriced, but for combo purposes is still very powerful - and that's why it's priced this way, you can literally kill your opponent just by playing low cost cards from your hand.

Nethrandamus is... I don't know. Is his effect similar to Corridor Creeper's? Either way, it's a big investment on a Dragon that almost makes it a Dragonqueen Alexstrasza - almost. But I don't see this as an effective finisher for the kamikaze archetype; sure, you can just summon an 8/8 and 2 random 10 mana cost minions for 9, but we need to know the pool, and how the randomness can affect this. It can be powerful, but we neeed to know if it can be unfair. Even though I guess every card in DH can be unfair if drawn with Skull of Gul'dan. Oh boy, either this or Kayn Sunfury drawn with Skull of Gul'dan, and you have an OTK already done. Oh boy

    • You're definitely underrating Inner Demon. Look at Pyroblast - Pyro's a good card in the right meta, even though it's 6 mana for +4 damage over Fireball. When you bundle lots of damage into one card, it needs to cost more. It could be DH's tempo or midrange finisher.

      • Worth keeping in mind that unlike Pyroblast this has to deal with taunt though. Playing this along side Kayn will be difficult if not impossible and even then its a two card combo for 11 damage which is harder to pull off than 2 fireballs which does 12 damage and only costs 8 mana.

        • If it's used as a finisher, the mana cost only matters for which turn it can be used on. See for example Leeroy's battlecry, which is mostly irrelevant.

There are also some useful synergies with weapons, such as Aldrachi Warblades and Flamereaper, for cases where you're not able to finish off the opponent yet.

  • 2 questions about the Dragon:

What happens if I kill more than 10 minions?

Does it have to be in hand to upgrade?

    • Caps at 10. It must be in your hand to upgrade.

  • Im an average player but i would say Sightless Watcher is a 5 star card

  • Inner Demon art is sick.

    • Most of the Demon Hunter art is really sick imo

Well, the quality is always high in the game, I just don't like all  the designs. Some Illidari and some Demons just look like little mongrels.

But this one is neat, it conveys the brutal, sudden power of a dangerous demon.

I'd say most of the demons artwork is pretty amazing

  • if 9 mana 8/8 actually summons couple of 8-10 drops it can be pretty good.

  • couldn't they released this video a week later? Now I want to play the deamonhunter even more but still have to wait  1 1/2 weeks

    • The demon hunter prologue comes out early on April 2nd IIRC.

    • We're actually quite happy about it since that means we've got both demon hunter sets revealed, allowing us to do stuff with them :D

    • They couldn't... card dump is actually tomorrow... We will know all the cards and still ahve to wait all this time until we can actually play them...

      • It's on Thursday, but you are right. They had to complete the DH sets before then.

        • Patch is on Thursday... Card dump will be tomorrow after final Reveal Stream with Kripp... Don't mix up those 2 different events...

          • I didn't mix them up, I just thought the stream was a day later. Sweet, good to know.
