Anyone else getting kinda tired of all those "Whenever this creature mutates" effects? Was expecting more diversity with the mechanic.
Kinnan is nuts! He doesn't even have to survive more than one turn to get a ton of value. And if your opponent has instant speed removal you can just tap all of your lands in response and still get double mana. It is kind of a shame he is such easy prey though . . .
He doesn't give double mana from lands
Oh yeah, I thought he just said "permanent" not "nonland permanent". But I guess that makes sense, I don't think they would print a 2 mana card that just "double all of your mana"
MTG clearly copying HS, who would say... Odd/even mechanic, even Ultimate Infestation has shown up
Would you say the new HS card Phoenix that creates a 0/3 reborn on next turn is not a copy of the MTG Arena Rekindling Phoenix?
Card games draw inspiration from each other. MTG is on its 55th expansion? Pretty sure you can dig almost every card out of HS in Magic's History.
The only problem I see with this expansion is that UW and Bant have so many removal and delay tools. Big late-game creatures are so vulnerable to ECD, Agent, Single removal. Creature decks need to create pressure from the early stages of the game to compete with Control Decks in Magic.
might just be me or maybe its just a race in MTG, but easy prey looks like a murloc
I mentioned that when I first saw it too. I took it as a slam against Hearthstone, but that could just be me. lol
but the prey is the 2 cost creature that is trying to kill the "murloc." Good removal for a sideboard against mono red and gruul.
