  • Hey! I won! Thanks for the giveaway. I am F2P on Magic: Arena so I don't usually have spare resources to get cosmetics with. Getting this cool sleeve for free feels pretty good.

  • Hey all,

Getting on late to pull the giveaway together today - lots of "fun" stuff going on.

I place all eligible people into a random.org list and hit the randomize button. The person on top, in position 1, wins.

Congratulations to KANSAS! I'll be sending you a DM in a minute with your code.

  • @Fluxflashor, you already know the winner?

EDIT: Are you aware of a bug in the typebox that suppresses the last character? At least in Mobile I noticed tha

  • Titan's Nest- Allows me to cheat mana with my top 3 deck colors

Shark Typhoon-love spawning flying creatures when necessary

Ruinous Ultimatum-the destruction it causes can be a lot of fun

Parcelbeast- gets me land faster when I need it

Lumious Broodmoth- Again love cards that help with flying creatures

  • Hi guys, here are my top 5 (not in a specific order)

    • Song of Creation: Incredible draw engine albeit with a hefty drawback; tried to make this work with Tamiyo to get back cards and Thassa's oracle as a win condition; was really underwhelming but I guess I simply suck at deck building
    • Titanoth Rex: It's big and it's a dinosaur, do I need to say something else?
    • Ivy Elemental: Ahh nostalgia; this was first printed in Odyssey around the time I started to play paper Magic; I did not have a lot of cards and this was one of my better ones; old art was nicer though ihmo
    • Evolving Wilds: Personally I think one of the best artworks in the set; massive improvement over the previous version; also a good utility card
    • Sprite Dragon: Izzet is one of my favorite combinations and this is a great card with beautiful artwork; unfortunately it does lack the support to make it viable

    Good luck and have fun

  • My top 5 in no specific order:

    - Almighty Brushwagg: That art. Makes my day every time I look at it
    - Boot nipper: Great card for drafts, that deathtouch can be annoying
    - Startling Development: Just a very interesting utility card I like (also the art/flavor text is great)
    - Quartzwood Crasher: Had this in a draft, had some fun matches until it ate some removal
    - Gyruda, Doom of Depths: One of the most fun matchups I had was when someone pulled tons of Gyruda from his graveyard and milled me this way. I also like that they are testing new things which are definitely inspired by Hearthstone

  • Obosh, the Preypearcer: distant cousin of Baku the Mooneater, the lovely snake that carried me to Legend!

Gemrazer: makes Ikoria monogreen almost viable and pretty fun. Besides, blowing up Fires and Sharknado... Nuff said

General Kudro of Drannith: makes Mardu humans almost viable and fun. Besides, sniping an Uro... So sweet!

Yorion, Sky Nomad: breaking Magic rules as old as time itself... Not for the faint of heart!

Durable Coilbug: just love how annoying and versatile this little guy can be in drafts. Always pick at least 2

  • Shark Typhoon:  The shear humor.  I opened up 3 in packs (haven't opened that many packs, this card seems to love me) and I have made a deck built around this card as the closer.

Extinction Event:  Mass removal and tricky targeting?  Count me in.

Porcuparrot:  Look at it.  I mean seriously just look at it.  Look at it again.  Look at it.

Gryuda:  I love the krakens.  I love mill.  I love taking my opponents things.

General Kudro:  Lets make a bunch of humans and sacrifice them!

  • My favorite cards are:

Shark Typhoon - By far, my favorite one. It has a great flavor and it is playable! :D

Yorion, Sky Nomad - because you can't lose if your deck has more cards, right? Right?

Gyruda, Doom of Depths - I think its true power is yet to be discovered.

Luminous Broodmoth - great entrance animation!

Neutralize - A counter spell with cycling? Great!

  • Having a blast with Ikoria so far. My top 5, in no particular order, would probably be something like that:

Eerie Ultimatum Sac'ing lands, creatures, sagas and bringing it all back.

Winota, Joiner of Forces I swear I'm not using Agent, just my ol' boy Haktos.

Stormwild Capridor Still trying to make it work with Deafening Clarion and Storm's Wrath.

Colossification Once in a while you get to fling a Storm Herald of out of nowhere.

Quartzwoo Crasher One day it will trample with his buddies for a billion damage! One day...

Stay safe and have fun, everyone!

  • Archipeligore: pretty slow, but I love my fatties. Was a lot of fun in the mutate brawl deck. Got to have a bunch of "free" turns for attacking face.

Mythos of Illuna: fun card, especially if you get the bonus off. Sometimes I forget about the legendary rule though and make it whiff...

Kogla: super flavorful and also just a nice bomb to have in the deck.

Winota: pretty disgusting to be on the receiving end for, but definitely enjoy the flavor and is fairly balanced despite the power level.

Shark typhoon: nice to have creatures in a spell synergy deck! ]

  • My top 5 in no specific order

Lukka - planeswalkers are certainly my favourite card type and a new character is always welcome!

Yidaro - love me some big red cards

Brokkos, apex of forever - one of my favourite new commanders

Chevill, bane of the monsters - I'm just in love with flavor of this card, so good!

Jegantha - another great commander, love it because it's allows 5 colors in decks

  • Here are my top 5 Ikoria cards:

    • Corpse Churn. Graveyard strategies are probably my favorite way to play Magic. This card reminds me of one of my all time favorite Magic cards, Stitcher's Supplier, so it makes my top 5 in Ikoria.
    • Mythos of Nethroi. I love a good kill spell. Being able to kill any non-land permanent for only 3 mana with no downside is great, and just killing any old creature for 2 and a black is good too.
    • Migration Path. One of my favorite things in Magic (aside from Black) is Ramping. This card ramps for 2 lands, and if you draw it later in the game when you already have 12+ lands, you can just cycle it.
    • Chevil, Bane of Monsters. Cheap, kills things, draws you cards, whats to hate?
    • Ruinous Ultimatum. You know what is better than killing your opponents most valuable permanent? Destroying ALL OF THEIR PERMANENTS!!! (except for lands of course, he he he . . .).
  • Here are my 5 (in no particular order).  Disclaimer:  I tend to like a certain "type" of card as opposed to specific individual cards, although I have a couple I like.

The Triomes:  I love multi-colored cards and will generally use a 3-color deck even if it's "worse" than a 2-color.  These lands help to generate (albeit one turn later) the necessary mana.

The Ultimatums:  Tri-color...LOL.  Assuming you're able to pull it off, I enjoy big payoff cards.  If one gets countered for a couple mana, I'll probably rage quit on the spot  : /

Any card w/ split mana costs:  e.g. Alert Heedbonder, Fiend Artisan, etc.  Once again, the more colors the better : )  I just like the color options when casting, plus I think the split mana symbols look cool  ; )

Kogla:  I like this card mainly for the 1G mana.  Very flavorful!

Narset:  Her +1 ability allows you to choose from 3 different mana.  Do we see a pattern here?  LOL.  I also like the -2 ability as it feels like there is a nice trade-off between dealing more damage, but losing a higher mana-cost card (obviously) which could help to generate a nice late game threat.

Well here they are.  Good luck to everyone in the competition!

EDIT:  I wanted to add that I just bought a Godzilla code on ebay this morning.  Therefore if my name is selected, could you give the code to someone else.  Thank you.

  • MAN O MAN the huge Godzilla nerd in me wants these but I don't play MTG

  • Dear God, those look fantastic.
