Hearthstone's iconic and delicious ranked card back, Cupcake, appears to be returning to the Hearthstone shop in the near future!
Thanks to data found in the client, a new license has been added to bring it back to the store. Originally released in April 2015, this card back is ultra-delicious!
- We're assuming the card back will be purchasable for the same pricing as the Naxxramas card back.
- 500 Gold or 2.99 Euros / $2.99 USD
- The card back should be available when Scholomance goes live.

Did they alredy put it for sale? i was playing since scholomance launch and it never showed up in my shop, did they actually don't relauched it or my game trolled me and i losed it?

My first and favorite card back. Definitely worth owning!!
I took a 6/7 month break from Hearthstone once and this is a cardback I could not get because of that. So I AM gonna pay My 500 gold for it :)
This was my first new card back. I worked hard for it at the time. Just like I don't deserve the Naxxramas card back (because it predates this one), nobody who didn't get this at the time should have it.
But whatever. I won't have Naxxramas because I don't want to pay for it. LoR is making their money by monetizing their cosmetics; makes sense that Hearthstone should do this.
(Though, really, they should do it with NEW card backs...)

This card back is the first one I missed, and I was trying for it until the last minute but I was one game short. I know some people don't think old card backs should comeback, but it really hurt missing out on this one.
I started playing Hearthstone in December of 2014. I did not get the card backs for either December 2014 (Season 9, Gnomes) or January 2015 (Season 10, Maraad). Those are the two card backs that I really want -- I had missed the opportunity to get them because I didn't understand the game well enough.
I think it's an awesome idea. Having the different card backs is totally an aesthetic thing anyway.
I like having different backs to sometimes go with the theme of a deck. But at this point I've got so many, I'd rather save my money/gold for something non-cosmetic. Just a personal opinion though.
Glad another card back is returning, the road to certain stuff that I want is hopefully drawing near!
Though it's not one that I would use, I'll still buy it to add to the collection.
According to the card back info in-game, the Cupcake card back can be acquired "by purchasing it during the Scholomance Academy launch period."
I imagine it will start on Aug. 6th and be available for a few weeks.

Also, off topic: has anybody else noticed that they changed the card art for Southsea Strongarm in Battlegrounds? She's a blonde now for some reason?
Yeah Southsea Strongarm changing is really weird, there's been a few other cards that have changed arts as well, like The Runespear now has more lightning coming out of it or whatever reason.
Oh also and her hat is now a different color.
I do like the fact that people can obtain cardbacks from 5 years ago. Although I do think that there has to be a red stamp on them to differentiate from the Month-reward.
To keep it more unique. I am pretty proud that I have all the cardbacks from 38 consecutive months!
I completely agree with you on that. I also own every single cardback to date and it pains me to see they slowly releasing old cardbacks. I really hope they dont bring all the old ones, cuz if they do there will be no exclusivity for the people who played from the very beginning.

Totally dude! They should just add a non-obtrusive red stamp to these beautiful card backs. One like this would be awesome!
Then they can't make money from it, $ 2.99 / 500 gold. The reason for making it available in game is to make money.
That is a bit too much;). Maybe just swap the colorpattern like a shiny pokemon.
