  • They are still pushing the token DH

  • [Hearthstone Card (Swarm of Locusts) Not Found] is crying in a corner. Really nice car that pairs really well with other DH synergies like Wrathscale Naga

    • you have to play it, lose one, play the naga, then hope they all die (if the naga kills all enemy minions you're not gonna re-summon illidari) to get the full value, but that's a pretty neat combo!

      • It doesn't seem too hard, actually. You can choose to summon the naga at any point, so you can just math out when its damage will be needed for a full clear that coincides with the second wave of tokens.

  • With the way this is worded it sounds like as long as 7 die in the turn it will keep summoning 7 more, not just summon 7 after 7 die and that's it. I need clarification!

    • The wording is not recursive at all. That would be something like, "repeat this effect" or "cast this again."

    • Pretty sure it’ll only resummon them once.  Otherwise it’d say “continue summoning seven more” or something like that.  And I’d assume if you only have six open slots you just over paid for whatever the 5 mana summon 6 Illidari with Rush card is called.

  • Isn't it too slow?

    • I'm more concerned that it's very situational, requiring an empty board on my side and at least 7 Health worth of minions opposite.

  • Just the kind of removal that DH needs and maybe the return of Knife Juggler

    • If you have a Knife Juggler on board, you only summon 6, so 7 can’t die to get the resummon effect.  You could play it on an empty board, trade one, play Juggler, then trade the rest.  Still 6 juggles!

      • Are you sure? It says "if all die", it does not specifically say "if all 7 die". I would assume you only have to kill off the ones you summoned for the repeat effect, not summon all 7 and kill them.

Yeah, that's possible... I guess we wait and see.

Yes, was just confirmed on Reddit by Liv Breeden: "As long as the ones you summon die, you'll summon more."

            Confirmed.

            • In that case this card is pretty sick!  It'd be a late game play, but paired with Wrathscale Naga it could be better than when paired with Juggler, and only one more mana!

      • Damn, right. I don't know why I missread it believing it was 6 instead 7.

  • Normally I'm not the one hating on new cards, but at this point I'm really anxious to see some bad cards for Demon Hunter. Some classes don't have enough cards to put in a deck and don't feel ashamed playing those (looking at you, Shaman) and here Demon Hunter has crazy variety of great cards every expansion.

  • Okay, so at first glance we can see that this is a strong, versatile card that more or less will always leave the board filled with 1/1s. There's more than a few obvious synergies with Blood Herald, Nethrandamus, Fel Guardians, and Wrathscale Naga. So after 2 expansions, we're finally going to see token dhunter take center stage, right?

Unfortunately, unless there's something like a wide buff to minion's hp or attack, its just too slow to make an offensive push or act as an early defensive option, something token dhunter still struggles with. The fact that it activates other cards is a nice bonus but both fel guardians and blood herald are not good cards to begin with, so unless there's something else in the works, this card is just decent in a field of completely broken as hell cards; i.e. not good enough.

There's other questions that need answers too; What happens if you fail to summon 7 of them (because you have a minion on board), do they still come back after all have died? Also, what happens if one of them don't die, such as being sent back to the hand via freezing trap. Does the effect still happen anyway after the rest of the 6 dies?

  • So what happen if we only summon less than 7? does it summon more if all of them dies?

This card is good, but the cost is too high for it to see in aggro. But 14 damage to minion is almost like a board clear, especially if some of it remains on the board.
