Quote From Blizzard Coming later this year is Hearthstone Mercenaries, an all-new single-player and competitive game mode that invites players to assemble and upgrade teams from among Azeroth’s mightiest heroes and villains and put them to the test in an everchanging series of engaging tactical battles.
Players will see their mercenaries gain experience, equipment, new abilities, and evolve into more powerful versions of themselves while battling through highly replayable, randomly generated roguelike missions.

Core Set Cards
Three cards have been revealed from the new core set! These do not replace their older versions. The old cards sit in Wild under the legacy set when rotation happens.

Ysera the Dreamer seems like a big winner. Play her and immediately sap something for 0 1 mana, or push 5 damage to the face if there's something on board. Really impressed, especially given that the power levels of the card isn't shit, at least that's a good sign that he core cards likely won't be as well.
Not sure what to do with new malygos yet. Deathwing the Destroyer looks more like a powerful tech card for classes like rogue or druid. Since they withheld new Alexstrasza, it must be really something. Can't wait to see it.
Edit: Dream is now 1 mana. Still good in my book
Are these new dragons replacements or additional cards?
Both. The old versions will still exist, but only in Wild.
Can I play the new versions in the wild? If I can, can I run both old and new dragons in the same deck?
Yep. Think of the Core set as the Basic/Classic set and the Legacy set as the Hall of Fame.
Hyped for the new Malygos (and the retirement of its predecessor). More of a Two-Turn-Kill card now. Amazing draw engine.
Ysera can now easily give you lethal, maybe even an OTK combo with mana discounts, plus infinite value? Super cool.
Straight Deathwing buff. Fantastic.

Can't wait for this! It's been a pretty busy week for reveals all around the gaming world, so this is a nice way to close that out.
