Strong tempo play.
Broken combo play.
Only good when it is buffed.
a 5 mana 8/8 with taunt across two bodies?
Don't mind if I do!
With a lot of the new cards but especially this one, I'm sensing some potential handbuff shenanigans, especially with that new legendary from the core set, Overlord Runthak
TAUNT IS CHEAT!
Mages one is four mana.....
Mage's also requires a secret in play, whereas you can play Sword Eater and then this on curve.
This has Taunt tho. It can also potentially be handbuffed with Feat of Strength. It buffs one random minion, but still a possibility.
Plus Kazakus being revealed might mean Don Han'Cho also comes back with some (hopefully better) handbuff cards
my man - finally someone else who ]enjoyed the Grimy Goons and their leader.
Take my upvote
I wanted to enjoy them, I tried so hard to get them to work but to no avail

Mor'shan Elite looks like a nice defensive tool for a Control Warrior. It compares favorably with Barricade as, for one more mana, you get two four-health bodies that trade better. This also an on-curve follow up to Sword Eater or Reaper's Scythe. This also doesn't have the empty board restriction of Barricade. I think this makes a lot of sense in a Control Warrior that runs C'Thun, the Shattered or has enough armor gain to support the Silas Darkmoon combo.
I don't think this is exclusive to Control Warrior. If they get some juicy handbuff stuff alongside cards like Overlord Runthak, we may see some midrange handbuff Warrior decks rise. That said, the only real ways to get the "attacked this turn" effect to trigger is via Sword Eater and Reaper's Scythe, meaning Warrior will also need to see some strong weapons or ways to attack to make this consistent enough to see play.
Hey, that teaser art is off the card, unplayable!
On a serious note, card seems good. With Kazakus being back, there's a possibility of some MSoG handbuffs returning, making these even more powerful. Also really good on curve with Sword Eater.
How long can this go on?
Seems really good in general! It comes out after Sword Eater, and 2 4/4s with buff potential seem excellent. It just depends on what deck it will go into.
Best part about this card is that it has taunt, and it summons a copy of itself, so its actually possible to get two 9/9s out with a Feat of Strength played earlier.
But the conditions is a little more difficult. If this catches on, then oozes will stop this from getting massive value on turn 5, and there's also the fact that on its own without buffs, its only a decent card. Playing FoS may also be a little tricky since its essentially passing up an earlier turn, or giving up 3 mana for a payoff that may or may not be good enough. If there are other taunt targets, maybe it would not be too bad to just play FoS anyway so it makes sense for this card to be included.
I would say its good, but what deck would best fit it in? Im not too sure, too early to say. For now there's some competition with Steeldancer, which not only comes a turn earlier, but might also provide better board presence.
