I really like the idea of Buff Taunt Deathrattle Druid
OTK combo piece, calling it now. I don't think it will be a powerful deck, but it will be functional and fun.
This thing can really go mad. Druid already cheats mana well enough and since nearly all druid spells are nature spells, letting any minion alive past turn 3 might just spell the end right there. Works well with stuff like Innervate, Nature Studies, and just about any spell that's currently in token druid.
Basically druid just got its own Edwin VanCleef with this card. Only drawback is that it doesn't buff itself, but if it did then its just day 1 nerf levels of broken wouldn't it?
How I love this 3-D-art cards! But damn, this i a ton of work.
A first glance is discouraging. Because he only buffs other minions, he relies on you having something else on the board, hopefully something else that can do something-- that is, another minion from a previous turn that stuck. That would seem to make him more conditional than you'd like.
The good news is that the specific timing of his ability-- AFTER you cast a nature spell-- means that nature spells that *generate* minions are fair game for his buff. So, cheap Nature spells that generate minions seem like your best chance to derive value from this guy.
May I interest you in Adorable Infestation? A turn 4 3/3 and 3/5 with upside doesn't suck.
He might also be interesting with the free-at-seven-mana druid spells from Ashes of Outland, assuming they get classified as Nature. (That's am assumption with Infestation, too, but Druid's core set minion-generation spells like Landscaping are, so we can hope.)
Of course, if you are able to stick minions to the board, this guy can help snowball hard while you do some of Druid's favorite Druid things (like Nature Studies churn).
Overall, I don't think he's a build-around, but I'm confident there are deck designs that will find him worth including.
A staple in treant druid, potential in beast druid.
Smells like token Druid. Pun intended
Hmm. I feel like someone should have told them that Guff is British slang for fart...
At least it's not Muff Runetotem lol
Maybe he is a druid specialized in natural gasses?
