There might be a typo somewhere, because it's saying card not found.
every time an effect like this has an even mana cost i do an evil villain laugh. by 2023 evenlock will be able to play 8 different giants
another toy for evenlock, maybe, the fact you can't play this for 0-3 mana like the other giants could make this feel to slow for wild
Love the card, but I don't really get the flavour. What does this effect have to do with being an ice lord?
It probably has to do with it being a giant, and so playing with the giant theme of conditional discounts. Also, both Ivus and Lok'holar were summoned into AV, and usually only a long time into the battle after people had dumped all their turn-ins (and so were bloodied a bit).
And more speceficly for the icelord it was blood that the Horde turned in to summon him
So painlock? And maybe paladin in wild
I just discovered that the good old Frost Elemental in Classic is indeed Lokholar, the Ice Lord
We were on it almost 8 months ago!
A very interesting condition indeed.
Probably more relevant in wild where evenlock can get to 15 fairly easily. In standard however, its not as straight forward. Even questlock struggles to do it by turn 5 courtesy of the many healing spells they have. It does work with Vandaar though, so you can potentially have this at a cost of 2, assuming you're at 15 health at that time.
Maybe in zoolock? You can get to low health really easily and having an 8/8 windfury on 5 is fairly devastating.
Then again, if you're at 15 health and below by turn 5, that's basically just prime pickings for any sort of burn or aggro decks isn't it? And this card really isn't going to do anything the first turn its played other than remove two minions.
Huge Evolve highroll in Standard right now.
The 15 health condition doesn't immediately sell this card to any currently existing deck in Standard, even though Warlocks love messing with their Health total.
I wonder I we can see some Priest shenanigans with Apotheosis... probably too clunky to be viable.
Moreover, the effect states that it costs (5) less, and not (5), so Granite Forgeborn can help. Oh, and maybe Celestial Alignment shenanigans? I am just brainstorming at this point ahah.
On a final note, in Duels you start at 20 health total, so you just have to lose 5 health to get a 5 mana 8/8 with Rush and Windfury, which is gross.
If you survive past turn 6 in duels when you have 20 health that's already an achievement. Its sort of like the discard cards like Blood Shard Bristleback. Sure you get a free win easily, but the card gets gradually worse later on as you get more wins.
