Riot Announces Legends of Runeterra's Next Expansion - A Curious Journey! 10 New Cards Revealed

Riot has revealed the name of Legends of Runeterra's next expansion within Beyond the Bandlewood and we've also got an epic animation to go alongside it. First, let's dive into those fresh cards!

  • Some of these cards look VERY good.

  • Transposition will surely make some dirty mana cheating shenanigans. Will those decks be any good? We shall see. Thankful it's not dual-region.

  • Am I the only one who actually thinks there is a strong chance Ivern shows up in this set? With the Grandfather Fae he seems pretty fitting. I could see there being him and Yuumi as a fae champion support duo.

    • Ivern is affiliated with Ionia and that region already got it's champion in Ahri. So I don't see that happening unless they decide to make Ivern the Freljordian champion, which isn't that crazy because in lore, Ivern was a Freljordian warlord before his transformation into a magical tree.

      • Indeed he was. That being said you make a good point. It could be that I'm wrong or it could be that he will come with an odd affiliation we haven't considered like as you said, Freljord. It could also be that he is released later on as a card in the same vein as Jayce or Viego. 

  • Yuumi had better have some epic payoffs to justify putting all of these bad Fae cards in your deck

  • First impressions :

    - Yuumi is going to be Fae. From what I've seen so far it looks like the Fae tribe will be focused on hand buffs.

    - More multi region and discard cards for Bandle City hopefully Tristana and Rumble are going to be in a better spot after expansion.

  • Blastcone Seedling is a game-changer for Shen decks, because now he's closer to not being reliant on Demacia to be playable.
