The League of Explorers Join Hearthstone Duels - RegisKillbin Reveals 4 New Heroes & Passive Treasures

We've got some major news with regards to Hearthstone Duels today via a dedicated reveal from RegisKillbin. We've got a recap and his video introducing the new content down below.

Duels Update Recap

  • We're getting four new Duels heroes - and they're all from the League of Explorers.
    • The heroes are based on their appearances in the Tombs of Terror Dungeon Run mode.
    • If you've unlocked their signature treasures in the Tombs of Terror, they will be available immediately for you on Day 1.
    • If you've never played Tombs of Terror, you can unlock these treasures just by playing Duels.
  • There are a "bunch" of balance changes coming in the update. Details are going to be revealed in the patch notes.

Reno Jackson Duels Hero & Powers

Reno Jackson is a Dual-Class Hero in Hearthstone Duels using the Mage and Rogue classes.

Elise Starseeker Duels Hero & Powers

Elise Starseeker is a Dual-Class Hero in Hearthstone Duels using the Druid and Priest classes.

Brann Bronzebeard Duels Hero & Powers

Brann Bronzebeard is a Dual-Class Hero in Hearthstone Duels using the Hunter and Warrior classes.

Sir Finley Duels Hero & Powers

Sir Finley is a Dual-Class Hero in Hearthstone Duels using the Paladin and Shaman classes.

New Passive Treasures

We've got a few new passives coming that are themed around Voyage to the Sunken City - look at all those new mechanics.

  • So when are they going to replace/rework the treasures for rotated stuff? Like priests' droplet of insanity? And the corruption card? (I may be mis-remembering)  (not that it ever really saw play)  

  • No love for Warlock. I'm sad

  • So basically Ignite is a bit weaker version of duels treasure Reno’s Magical Torch

    • ignite might be slightly stronger since it doesn't need to be comboed.

    Can they release the coreset already?

    • They're revealing the Core set after the expansion is fully revealed. It's scheduled for April 5th IIRC.

  • If Im not mistaken they also ported the treasures you get into duels as well, so all the sr adventurers would be up for selection, which would be interesting because every one of them are fairly broken. Perhaps team5 have made some balancing, because otherwise those treasures would just win the entire game on their own.

    Nice to know that at least with these guys I dont have to bother unlocking their stuff. Being unable to select the class I want in duels gets annoying when all I wanted to do was to unlock the treasures and hp.

    • In both article used here and Regis video is information that there will be changes to power down those. As you can yourself see that Shaman  Sr. Scout have rush instead of the Charge.
