The Legendary Duelists: Season 3 released today for the North American region, with Europe having access to it already. This is a set consisting mostly of reprinted cards form two previous Legendary Duelists sets, Immortal Destiny, released in September 2019, and Magical Hero, released in January 2020.
Package Content
Legendary Duelists: Season 3 can only be bought in special boxes. Those boxes contain:
- 1 of 6 dice, featuring one of the following characters:
- 1 of 10 Secret Rare cards, 4 of which are brand new (we'll get to that in a moment).
- 2 packs with 18 cards each, containing 3 Ultra Rare cards and 15 commons.
In terms of what the actual cards are, they focus mainly on anime archetypes, as is the case with most Legendary Duelists packs. In this case, the main focus is on various HERO archetypes, Dark Magician, Destiny Board, Gagaga and related archetypes, Earthbound Immortals, Predaplant, and more. There are 138 cards in total, with only 4 of them brand new, everything else being a reprint.
Secret Rare Cards
As mentioned, each box comes with a Secret Rare card, separate from the packs inside. This is where all the brand new cards are from.

There are 128 cards that can be obtained from booster packs, 30 of these being Ultra Rare, while the rest are Common. All of them are reprints, and as such we won't do our usual split into various archetypes for this one, instead splitting the list by card type.

Seems like a good deal for either casuals or collectors that are fans of the HERO and Dark Magician archetypes :)
Gamewise (talking about meta decks, tournaments and stuff) this, of course and as intended, is not of much value.
IMO competitive archetypes suck in Yu-gi, fun-wise. Stopped playing because of that.
