With MARVEL SNAP just over two weeks away from its global release date (October 18), the game is getting ready for its release onto both mobile and PC. To that end, the game can now be added to your Steam wishlist in advance of its release in Early Access: MARVEL SNAP on Steam.
We should note that the game will be available as part of Steam Early Access, which means you shouldn't expect it to be a fully polished experience. There will probably be bugs, and the ability to play in Widescreen is still further down the road. It should also be stated that players will need a Google Account to play MARVEL SNAP on PC, to allow for cross-play across their devices. Still, if PC if your preferred method of playing MARVEL SNAP, you will have that option.
Here's what Second Dinner has to say about the game on its Steam page:
Quote From Second Dinner Why Early Access?
“Through our past experiences releasing games, we’ve learned that working directly with our players during development makes games better. While we believe the core game is playable on PC, there are still more features we’re working on adding and visual updates to make. Early Access allows us to involve the community early to get suggestions and feedback as we continue development.”
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
“We expect to release the Full Windows PC Version in mid-2023.”
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
“For the full release Windows version of MARVEL SNAP we plan to support a UI experience developed specifically for PC - including a fullscreen landscape display of the game. Additionally, we plan to bring support for dynamic in-game news updates, videos, and an Inbox feature. We also plan to provide future game updates and seasonal content at the same cadence as Android and iOS.”
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
“The Early Access version has full access to the game features present on the iOS and Android versions including: game cards and locations, avatars, deck management, weekly missions, seasonal missions, ranked mode, Season Pass (free and premium), and shop content (daily offers, fast upgrade, and gold/credit purchases). Early Access version is scheduled to receive all future game updates and seasonal content on the same cadence as Android and iOS.The Early Access version does not currently support dynamic in-game news updates, videos, or the Inbox feature. During Early Access we will use the Steam game page to share news, videos, and other critical in-game messages.
The game display for Early Access PC version is a 4:3 ratio. The default display is fullscreen with MARVEL SNAP imagery on the sides of the game board, but players may also choose to play in Windowed-Mode to show only the game board if they choose. The full release Windows version of MARVEL SNAP will support a UI experience developed for PC - including a fullscreen landscape display of the game.”
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
“MARVEL SNAP is free-to-play! In-game purchases are available for gold and season passes, and we don't plan to change these prices between Early Access and full release.”
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
“Join our official MARVEL SNAP Discord server: https://discord.gg/hJfD8uZG - Players are welcome to leave their feedback and suggestions for new features or for balance changes. Many of the developers are active there, we’d love to have you. We’ll also be sharing regular updates here on the Steam game page.”

Wait. You need a Google account to play? Is this true across all devices, including iPhone? If so, I guess I’m not trying this game out after all
Already did it, although this might be a game I actually play on my phone for once. Hearthstone on mobile is kind of a pain, but SNAP doesn't seem to have as much baggage in terms of file-size or input issues. Don't need to press on anything, target anything; just...play cards where you want them.
