Stature is the newest card coming to Series 5 of MARVEL SNAP on February 21. In honor of this occasion, we've broken down Stature's comics history, looked at the card's best potential synergies, and theorycrafted some decks that feature Stature.
Five Best Stature Synergies
Costs 1 if your opponent discarded a card from their hand this game.
Stature has limited direct synergies (there are only so many cards that force your opponent to discard) and, at first blush, might appear to be more of a tech card to slot in and take advantage of a meta filled with Discard decks. Currently, MODOK has rejuvenated the archetype and so Stature might start showing up as a way for players to benefit from that.
Let's take a look at five cards players can put into their decks to synergize with Stature.
Scarlet Witch
On Reveal: Replace this location with a random new one.
Like we said, there aren't a lot of cards that force your opponent to discard - but there is a location: Sokovia. Scarlet Witch is one of the few cards in the game that will change a location into another location (rather than Flooding or Ruining it), and so could be used as another chance at seeing Sokovia pop up.
Thanos & Reality Stone
At the start of the game, shuffle the six Infinity Stones into your deck. On Reveal: Transform this location into a new one. Draw a card.
Reality Stone (which is added to your deck by Thanos) is like Scarlet Witch in that it changes the current location to another one. We put it slightly higher than Scarlet Witch because it draws a card, and because decks that run Thanos usually have ways to play the Stones multiple times over the course of a game.
Moon Girl
On Reveal: Duplicate your hand.
Once Stature has had her Cost reduced (or even before) Moon Girl can double your hand and get you two 1-Cost 7 Power bodies, ready to go.
Moon Knight
On Reveal: Discard a card from each player’s hand.
Moon Knight is one of two cards that force your opponent to discard. Thanks to his double-sided effect, Moon Knight probably works best with Stature in decks that want to discard their own cards while running a 1-Cost 7 Power for the upside.
Black Bolt
On Reveal: Discard the lowest-cost card from your opponent's hand.
Black Bolt is likely the best synergy for Stature because he doesn't carry the risk of accidentally discarding the card you're working so hard to discount. While Black Bolt currently sees little play (mainly due to how expensive he is and how little the discard usually matters), he might see a bump with Stature arriving to give him an extra payoff alongside his disruption.
Theorycrafting Stature
To go with our synergy picks, we've theorycrafted three decks that could do powerful things with Stature. As always, this comes with a caveat: as a Series 5 card, Stature is going to be a very, very rare drop from Collector's Reserves and, unless you're ready to drop 6000 Collector's Tokens on an unproven card, it's unlikely to become a part of your (or our) collection any time soon.* That being said, let's look at these decks.
*Second Dinner has stated they have plans to make new Series 5 cards more accessible to players in a future update, although specifics at this time are scarce.
Thanos Lockjaw Zoo
Thanos and Lockjaw are already a powerful synergy, so we're hijacking it with Stature and Black Bolt to give the deck more disruption and a way to get a large amount of Power on the board for cheap.
HelaCarrier
Moon Knight could shine in this deck, reducing the cost of Stature to 1 once Oscar Isaac has forced your opponent to lose one of their cards while you feed your Hela. We like Helicarrier as an additional source of big bodies that you can discard and resurrect with Hela.
Controlled Clutter
Aggravation could be the name of the game with this Clutter deck that has plenty of ways to reduce its opponent's options, and Black Bolt (showing off his new-found power with Stature) will be just one more thing that'll make the opponent wish they were playing someone else. It's also running Scarlet Witch, for the approximately 1 in 616 chance of hitting Sokovia.
Who is Stature?
Cassandra Lang, a.k.a. Stature, is the daughter of Scott Lang. When she was a young girl, her father stole Hank Pym's suit and Pym particles to rescue a doctor who could cure Cassie's congenital heart condition, setting him on the path to becoming the next Ant-Man.
As a young girl, Cassie was frequently exposed to the superhero life by her father, and even experimented with Pym particles in secret (eventually gaining the power to grow and shrink her body on command). After her father was killed in an explosion masterminded by an insane Scarlet Witch, Cassie joined the Young Avengers and took the superhero name Stature.
As a member of the Young Avengers, Stature struck up a romantic relationship with Iron Lad, who was eventually revealed to be a time-displaced younger version of supervillain Kang the Conqueror. When the real Kang showed up, Iron Lad, Stature, and the other Young Avengers defeated him. In the aftermath, Iron Lad chose to return to his own timeline to fix the adverse effects of timestream mixing, but not before sharing a tearful farewell with Stature.
Stature never really got over the death of her father, bearing a lifetime grudge against Scarlet Witch and picking a fight with the new Ant-Man, Eric O'Grady. When a time-hopping Iron Lad returned and offered her the chance to prevent Scott Lang's death, Stature took it. Although they weren't able to change events leading up to the fatal explosion, Stature brought her father back with her to the future. Although this act later led to her own death, the massive amount of Pym particles she'd absorbed throughout her life made it possible for her to be resurrected and continue her story.
Stature is a larger-than-life superhero with friends across the multiverse, dipping into a variety of adventures that look to continue on the big screen now that she's been formally introduced to the MCU.
Card Flavor Grade: C. The card's cost fluctuation is somewhat reminiscent of Stature's ability to change sizes, but is completely reliant on other effects (unlike in the comics).

I'll try her in 2-3 months... I am series 3 complete and with how my resources are looking right now I might be able to be even series 4 complete around May when she downgrades...
