We've got a featured location in MARVEL SNAP and it's X-Mansion!

X-Mansion is an existing location being featured in MARVEL SNAP as part of the April Season: Animals Assemble. After turn 3, it summons a random card at the location for each player

X-Mansion is a bit random to plan for, but can benefit cards and decks that want to fill up as many spots as possible. Cards like Ant-Man and Mojo could be great plays to X Mansion, as you have one fewer space to fill manually to get their buff.

However you choose to plan for the featured location, you'd better get used to it; being a featured location means that X-Mansion will have a 50% chance to appear for 24 hours, from 8 PM PT Tuesday night to 8 PM PT Wednesday night (2 AM UTC Wednesday to 2 AM UTC Thursday).

What Are Featured Locations in MARVEL SNAP?

There are two different types of location events in MARVEL SNAP, both of which have a 50% chance of appearing for the next 24 hours.

  • Sunday's Hot Location that always pulls from existing locations.
  • Wednesday's Featured Location that usually shows off new locations, but will pull from the pool of existing locations from time to time.

This helps pave way for new deckbuilding strategies as you may want to be playing something else should the bonus better benefit cards you aren't playing with. We've seen this previously with the featured location, Monster Island, whose boosted appearances meant many players ran Shang-Chi to destroy the 9 Power Monster.

Hot Decks for X-Mansion

If you're looking for ideas of what decks you can play to the Featured Location, we've got you covered: with recommended decks for players just starting out in Series 1, players still moving up through Series 2, and players who are starting to fill their collections with cards from Series 3, 4, and 5.

Series 1 Dinosaur

Our recommendation for budget players working with a Series 1 collection is to run Ant-Man and Wolfsbane to take advantage of the extra body you get for free from the featured location. This deck also takes advantage of that with Devil Dinosaur, since you'll be able to keep more cards in hand.

Series 2 Ongoing

There are a lot of Ongoing cards that appreciate the free card summoned by X-Mansion, like Captain America, Blue Marvel, and The Punisher. Spectrum will add that extra bit of Power to all those Ongoing cards.

Series 3 Destroyer

Series 3 players can have access to Mojo, as well as Viper and Green Goblin to help fill your opponent's locations. This deck tops with Destroyer and also runs Professor X, who should feel at home in X-Mansion.

Series 3 Clutter Control

If you really want to get in on the junk plan, you can use cards like Debrii and Titania to really clutter everything up. Your opponent will appreciate the help.

Series 4 Darkhawk

Why fill your opponent's locations when you can fill up their deck with Rocks, then profit with a large Darkhawk? This Series 4 deck gets a little into the spirit of random by running Agent Coulson, and can mess with your opponent's space with a little Bite from Black Widow.
