There is a new event for MTG Arena where you can use some classic cards like the Moxes and the infamous Black Lotus! Entry is free and you can play from Dec. 12-16. You can win up to 3 Theros: Beyond Death packs for your wins (event decks are not added to your collection).
We also got a pretty cool official trailer (not Gingerbread cookie slaying, or Lilliana vengeance-fueled "pretty cool") for Theros: Beyond Death, which sets up the storyline for the set.

As someone who's been only playing Magic a few months, this is pretty cool to do. Lets you try out some new cards but also play with cards much older. Crazy how strong some of these old cards are. One mana draw 3, haha.
in the first Magic set ever there was a cycle of 1 mana instants that do 3 of something.
White would either gain 3 life or prevent 3 damage
Green would give a creature +3/+3
Red would deal 3 damage
Black would add 3 black mana to your mana pool
And blue would draw 3 cards
Obviously some of these are waaaaay more powerful than others.
This is super cool. Everyone, even non-Magic players, have heard of Black Lotus. Looking forward to checking out the event and earning some sweet packs.
