World of Warcraft's PTR Adds a New Broom Mount - Permanent Broom Incoming?

World of Warcraft's public test realm is currently up with patch 10.1.5 and with it comes a new datamined asset - Broom Mount Red. This new mount has a red seat trimmed out in gold, green particle effects at the back, and a glowing green lantern right at the tip.

Found by Leyst, the new mount is an updated take on the very popular, temporary mount obtained during WoW's Halloween event, Hallow's End. Magic Broom was added all the way back in The Burning Crusade expansion (2008!) and is popular because it is a unique model and allows for instant mounting, instead of the usual momentary spell cast required to mount up.

We don't know if this will ever be available to players, and if it is, whether or not it will be a temporary addition or if players will be able to add it permanently to their collections. What we do know though is Blizzard has been providing WoW players with an overwhelming number of positive changes over the past few months, so we wouldn't be surprised if this is coming later this year as a permanent mount you can add to your collection.

Is it finally time for players to get their highly-desired broom mount?
