The Pokemon YouTube channel has revealed a new Pokemon - Poltchageist! This Pokemon is a part of the upcoming two-part DLC, Hidden Treasure of Area Zero which will see its first instalment, The Teal Mask, arrive in just a few weeks on September 13.

Poltchageist is a Grass/Ghost type Pokemon and takes the form of a tea jar. Not just any tea jar though - it's been repaired! Pokemon uploaded a video talking about a "haunting tale" involving this Pokemon.

A tea master, who pushed away everyone as they did not aim for perfection in the tea ceremony, died on top of his jar of tea and it was passed along from owner to owner for generations until one day, the neglect grew too much and it transformed. Poltchageist left the building and went on to pester citizens, sprinkling matcha at them. When a woman who was the target of this playful matcha invasion knocked their tea cup off the table, Poltchageist became furious. The matcha stole the life force of the woman, Poltchageist then began to repair different objects using the power of the matcha.

It is said that the tea master's regret still lives in Poltchageist. Parents tell their children that Poltchageist will sprinkle them with matcha should they waste any food. The tale ends with a group of kids and the storyteller dying thanks to Poltchageist.
