Thursday is here, and so are the free games from the Epic Games Store! This week has two diametrically opposed games, as one is a chill simulator about building realistic stuff piece by piece, while the other is a dark action game about dismembering Lovecraftian horrors with your big weapon. Let's get into it!

Model Builder

Name says it all, really. It's a game that lets you build scale models of... pretty much everything. Planes, tanks, robots, trains, the Enterprise. It's in a similar vein to PC Building Simulator, except with plastic kits instead of ridiculously expensive electronics. Also like PC Building Sim, there's no VR option, despite the fact that it would fit this kind of game like a glove!

Soulstice

Do you enjoy spectacle fighters like Devil May Cry, including the inability to move the camera? Then Soulsticle might just scratch that itch! You play as Briar and Lute, two sisters that were merged together in what is called a Chimera. Briar is the one handling combat with her weapon that can transform into various modes, while Lute is taking care of the defensive side of the game by blocking attacks and helping with ephemeral enemies. Together, they must figure out what's threatening to destroy their dark-fantasy world before it's too late.
