Can't believe the reins-of-the-phosphorescent-stone-drake mount has been reduced to this... Stone Drake
Now my hopes of getting a Aeonaxx legendary dragon are quickly dissipating
I'm sure it would be a better card if it were phosphorescent. This is just the Stone Drake monster, not the mount. (And yes, they got the colors wrong.)
I really wonder why it took the game this long to get Therazane. We've had Ragnaros, Al'Akir, and Neptulon in the game for nearly 10 years now. Why did Therazane get shafted all that time?
I feel that if they've been waiting for so long, they should have waited a little bit more and introduce her in the 10th anniversary set.
My prediction for the 10th anniversary set is that we're going to get the default heroes as game-changing Legendaries - Jaina, Thrall etc. In earlier years, it was considered off-limits for Heroes to also be minions; Illidan Stormrage was even changed to Xavius when Demon Hunter was announced. But now we have so many alternate Heroes, many of which are represented as minions.
Of the elemental lords, Ragnaros is the only one treated as a marketing draw by Hearthstone.
The same expansion also introduced the Lady Liadrin legendary, even though the character already existed as a hero skin. The reason why they changed the Illidan minion was because they didn't want to have the base hero portrait character represented as a minion on the board (At least for Constructed. According to an Interview Mercenaries actually started out with only the 10 base heroes). They might have changed their mind about that, but there indicator you gave is not valid here.
I have limited experience playing WoW, so I never directly engaged with the Elemental Lords. Other media such as Hearthstone or Heroes of the Storm helped shape my image of Ragnaros, and from those he has always seemed like the most entertaining of the four to engage with. In comparison to THE FIRELORD, the others barely have a personality (and/or don't even show up until recently/now). I'm not upset, because I enjoy Ragnaros, but when you put in effort to make one of the Elemental Lords more likeable than the others, of course you'll want to use him more.
Ragnaros is going to be the face of Warcraft Rumble's Raid mode - whenever they get around to releasing it - so there's another example of Blizzard's bias towards him over the others lol.
If a piece of media revolves around the Four Elements, Fire is usually going to be a standout, by being either the protagonist, team leader, or antagonist. The one big exception I can think of is Yu-Gi-Oh. I guess Pokemon has Electricity as its mascot, but let's be real, Charizard is almost as popular
Demon, you've handed me a "yo mama" joke on a silver plater. Thank the Titans I decided to pass on it.
My joke was headed in a "Yogg forbid women do anything" direction.
