This reveal season is going to be a bit different since Blizzard made an oops and leaked all the cards in the set early. All the new cards have already been added to our database, which means you can build decks with them, and they will be be visible on our expansion page for The Great Dark Beyond. This also means you can already start to vote and discuss every single card if you wish, which gives us plenty of time to get scores building for an incredible Community Compendium once the reveal season is over.
But, even though all the cards have been leaked, we will be covering the cards in daily recap articles too. Leaked cards will appear on the website as if they were uncollected in your Hearthstone collection manager, so until they show up as their usual self, take their stats and text with care. We don't know if the cards that were accidentally pushed were final; Blizzard has made last minute balance changes before. Doing daily recaps gives everyone a chance to focus their attention to a select few cards together which will make for good targeted discussion and allow everyone to ignore the leaks if they wish. Obviously, it's going to be hard to completely ignore leaks here on the site, but this may help a little bit if you want to be surprised every day.
Also, we are missing tokens across the board, so any cards with tokens are still slightly in the dark.
Today, Mage to the stage to fill the air with magic... Wait, there's no air. Let's take a look at the new cards coming in The Great Dark Beyond that were revealed today, October 16, 2024.

Weird they only get one Draenei. At least it's a good one.
I like Saruun too but he definitely needs mana discounts, Aqua Archivist, to get him early. Pair him with Incindius for more fun! Sadly, Blasteroid seems like it would interrupt the elemental chain too often to be included. But who knows maybe it's not as bad as I fear.
Wonder how many Fire spells there are and what are the chances to get another Supernova from a Supernova and go infinite
I think they made it so that cards can't generate themselves a while ago.
I've always found Elementals to be such a satisfying deck type to play, and this set is mixing up the formula with the fire spell synergy. I'm a little wary of what it'll do power-wise because it would seem to make the play patterns more complex and so less consistent, but it looks fun, so I'll probably play it anyway.
Saruun - This card has so much potential. Unfortunately, the way this card is requires you to play an elemental deck and therein lies the problem. With all the fire spell synergy moving around, had this card just give any minion +1 fire spell damage, it would have been nuts. Coated in an elemental deck, is this even strictly better than lamplighter, even at 5 mana? Its just such a shame, because I really like the mage set this expansion. Probably a dud if Im honest.
Exarch Hataaru - Its Instructor Fireheart. But probably not better
Supernova - Its probably not better than cheating out water eles or doing 10 damage + a 10 drop. But Id be lying if I say this is a bad card. Basically cheat it out, get a bunch of fire spells which your opponent can never play around. Good enough perhaps.
Pocket Dimension - Meme card. Sure discovering loads of spells is great and all, but dont mage already have plenty of those and dont cost 4 mana? Its not even better than infitize the maxitude.
Blazing Accretion - Great card for elementals. Will elemental mage capture the top tiers again? Probably not.
Saruun needs cards like Steam Surger because of how elementals synergize with each other. It is still a nice addition to have +1 Fire damage on minions that would not normally have. However, being 7/6 do nothing on t6 is still a big dealbreaker in nowadays powerlevel.
