Apple to Start Selling PlayStation VR 2 Controller Bundle for 249.99 Starting in November

Good news (and some not so good ones) for PlayStation VR 2 users looking for a new pair of controllers! Apple will soon be selling a bundle of PSVR2 controllers, alongside a charging station, starting November 11th. All this is a footnote in the announcement for the M5 Vision Pro. This random partnership makes a lot more sense when you learn that they're adding support for said controllers to their Vision Pro, a fact we reported about 4 months ago.

The bundle will retail for 249.99 USD. Now, that may seem like a step price - and it is -, if you take out the 50 USD charging station, it comes down to 100 USD per controller. For context, the Valve Index controller retail for about 300 USD, while the Meta Quest is 150 USD for a pair, so the PSVR2 ones come right in the middle. A regular Dualsense is about 75 USD, and those are more specialized controllers, so the higher price is to be expected.

All that said, a lot of people would've preferred to be able to buy them without the station (you can charge the controllers via USB-C), and to be able to buy them individually, so hopefully Sony will sell them themselves. Or maybe they'll allow us to pair the controllers to multiple devices, like they did the Dualsense, so people who use them for both console and PC don't have to bother.
