It's been a long year and with that comes plenty of new Pokemon-related products and with it being very difficult to acquire Pokemon Cards due to the massive amount of scalping going on and higher than usual number of fake cards, at least we can provide the trainers in our lives with other Pokemon-related products. We've researched and put together a list of some of our favourite Pokemon-related gift ideas for this Pokemon 2025 Gift Guide. Let's jump in!

#1 Pokemon Legends Z-A
If your favourite Pokemon fan loves to play Pokemon on the Nintendo Switch, this year's hot new release was Legends Z-A. The game takes place in Lumiose City and features Mega Stones to let your Pokemon go through a Mega Evolution. The game has been reviewed with an average score of 77/100 via Meta Critic and is the only big release of the year for Pokemon games, releasing back in October.
The game gets a certified fun stamp from us at Out of Games and will be enjoyed by many.

Legends Z-A is available for the original Nintendo Switch and for the new Nintendo Switch 2. Do note that the Switch 2 version will also work with the original Switch, so if you aren't sure which version of the Switch your giftee has, the Switch 2 edition of the game is the safe choice and if they have a Switch 2 they will experience enhanced visuals. There is also a digital upgrade pack available to turn the first version of the game into the second - if you want to learn more about Switch 2 Game Upgrades we've got a guide.
Speaking of, the Nintendo Switch 2 stock is plentiful and you're looking to get your favourite gamer a new handheld console to upgrade from the original Switch, it's a delightful gaming experience and highly recommended.
#2 Monster Character Balls
These 3d-printed Monster Balls from FrostyVoid are incredible works of of art showcasing many of one's favourites. They are handmade decor items which look incredible on a desk or shelf of a master trainer. Some of our favourites are Dozebeast, Embersoul Inferno, Phantomgrin, and Softveil, though there are over 100 different ball designs to choose from.

The prints are high-quality and quite affordable, making them an awesome gift or even a stocking stuffer. The Monster Balls come with their own gift boxes and are carefully protected with cushioning so they ship safely to their destination so they can be opened and enjoyed without fear of breakage in transit.
We've partnered up with FrostyVoid to offer an exclusive 7% discount code if you use the code OUTOFGAMES at checkout. This applies to anything on the website, so take a browse and see if any other goodies bring you joy.
#3 Gifts for the Trading Card Game Player
We're breaking out into a subsection to talk about gifts that your favourite player of the Pokemon Trading Card Game would enjoy. The official Pokemon Center website has tons of incredible accessories that can be cute, fierce, or just bold and beautiful. Players of the Pokemon TCG will find it difficult this holiday season to get their hands on the physical cards for the game, due to scalping and rampant fakes going around the market. Be careful, if the price of cards themselves seems to good to be true, then it probably is.
If you are looking to acquire Pokemon TCG cards as a gift, we recommend that you only purchase them from a reputable store, and in-person rather than online. We don't recommend Amazon or any marketplace third-party seller. Instead go with stores like Gamestop, EB Games, Walmart (in-store, online first-party), and local trading card game stores which are usually reputable - ask around, they would love your business!
If you're in Canada, my favourite local card stores to purchase from in-person and online are:
- Dragon World Games in Brampton, Ontario - very friendly and knowledgable staff, huge selection
- Game Shack - More than just card games, easy to ask questions and get straight answers
- 401 Games - Online, quick shipping, massive selection
Now, for products for fans of the TCG that aren't Pokemon Cards, every trainer needs sleeves, binders, playmats, and more.
Playmats
Our favourite standout playmats from Pokemon Center include:
5

Binders
Trainers need a good place to keep their cards. The Pokemon Center site has some great binders with Pokemon designs on them or if you're looking for something with the same quality but in solid colors, FrostyVoid has a line of their FrostGuard binders.
We prefer binders with side-loading pockets because they keep cards in place easier and if the binder has a zipper, that makes it even better for traveling with your precious cards.

Card Sleeves
Card sleeves are a very personal preference item for players of trading card games, but we do have some great advice on picking good sleeves. For Pokemon fans specifically, all the sleeves that are made by Pokemon themselves are high-quality and tournament legal, which is not the case for very cheap sleeves. Legal sleeves need to have solid enough colors on the reverse so that you can't see the back of the card that is placed in them. This isn't a major issue for most players, especially those who just casually play with friends and at card stores, but higher quality sleeves are always the right answer.
If you're looking for more generic sleeves, Dragon Shield and Ultra Pro make great sleeves. As a matter of personal preference, I find the Matte sleeves shuffle nicer and they don't create glare from lighting. They do make art on cards pop a bit less, but the smooth shuffling makes for a premium experience.
Dragon Shield also makes incredible metallic-appearance card sleeves which always stand out on the table.
#4 Pokemon Plushies & Squishmallows
Pokemon plushies remain one of the most wholesome gifts you can give, and the Pokémon Center has been killing it with their plush lines. The Dreams plushies are extra soft and perfect for display or snuggling, while the “Sitting Cuties” line offers a ton of different Pokemon in adorable, palm-sized forms. If you want to go big, the large Pokemon plushies (like Snorlax, Lapras, or Pikachu) make a massive impact though they can be quite hard to come by due to their popularity.

Somewhat recently, we saw Totodile, Chikorita, and Tepig all get life-sized versions of themselves as plush. Squismallows are also super popular for Pokemon collectors, and there is a wide variety to choose from. Personally, I'm a huge fan of Marill and Teddiursa.

#5 Pokemon LEGO
Ahh, it's not available yet! Arriving in 2026 is a new line of LEGO featuring Pokemon. Details are sparse so far but with the high quality of LEGO products and the incredible Zelda and Animal Crossing sets we've seen, we're expecting only the best for Pokemon next year.

You really can't go wrong with a LEGO Gift Card, just let your recipient know that the new sets are coming out next year and they should wait for them.
#6 Pokemon Home & Desk Decor
Whether you're looking for a 2026 day-to-day calendar as a stocking stuffer, battling bookends featuring Hoenn's Lugia and Ho-Oh, or a new mug featuring one of Pokemon's many monsters, Pokemon Center has tons of gifts for around the house.

These are practical gifts that can add fandom charm to one's home so they can appreciate their favourites all year-round and show off to their friends and family.
#7 Pokemon Clothing & Ugly Christmas Sweaters
Pokemon Center once again has us covered with this category of gifts. The wide range of Pokemon shirts, hoodies, pants, and other various articles of clothing is endless. A personal favourite that gets you into the holiday spirit is the Snorlax Ugly Sweater, which is just one of many of Pokemon's holiday knit sweaters.

We hope you've enjoyed our Pokemon Gift Guide for 2025 and that this has made finding a holiday gift for your favourite Pokemon fan easier. Let us know what you end up picking out and why in the comments below.
