The World Soul Saga continues in World of Warcraft! Midnight, which is due to launch in early access in just over an hour now gives us access to yet another collector's edition for some epic art and shelf swag to be reminded of our eternal addictions to the drug that is World of Warcraft.
This is a continuation of our CE unboxing series, which started with The War Within and I gotta say, it was a cool unboxing but I do still miss everything else. I love physical stuff, gaming memorabilia especially, and I wish these collector's editions would be more than an artbook.

The trend of no mouse pad continues, the pin is cool but the design doesn't really pop out and really tell you what it is trying to be. Take that against the Shadowlands pins, where you got one for each of the main factions in the game and you can see how this is underwhelming. That's not very different from the one we received in The War Within that featured lore characters, it too felt a bit messy.

The dark heart light up desk ornament took a moment to figure out how it was supposed to work, which is not a big issue because it clicked after a moment and in fairness to them, the instructions do tell you everything you need to know. I was expecting it to be brighter than it was based on some other content I saw around it, but it would look quite cool in a dark gaming room... not that its very practical to keep charged haha. I suppose at the end of the day it is mostly just introducing more e-waste and with how light it is, you know the internals are as cheap as can be. I'm not saying its a fire hazard, but I really dislike the amount of rechargeable batteries that are sitting around unused for years and years.

Even with the negative stuff I have to say about it, which maybe it's just because I'm a passionate fan of World of Warcraft, Azeroth has always been my home and to get a piece of it to appreciate in my collection of all things nerdy, I love it. The box is absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to jump into the revamped Silvermoon City and see where Midnight is going to take us.

Love these unboxing articles.
It's cool to see the effort that goes into each of these big boxes of goodies... and also seeing Flux's extremely tiny hands.
