Steam gives out free games occasionally, but it's much more sporadic than Epic does it. They generally don't advertise their free game sales though, because Steam is a better platform that doesn't need to try to win people over with free games to overcome their inferior service... and most of the time, the temporary free games are not worth looking at, but we have two games that are an exception to this.

There are two other games that are currently free at the time of writing this, but I don't think it's worth mentioning them. Because they look like low quality games, not because they're "furry" games. Let me make that clear ahead of time.

I will admit that I don't really know anything about this game, or Warhammer in general (beyond the basic concept of the tabletop game, since my older brother is a huge fan of Warhammer), but this essentially looks like Civilization but in the Warhammer universe and with its own design identity.
If you like Civilization or even just the 4X genre in general, this one seems like it might be worth trying out.
The base game is currently free until May 28. Your luck doesn't spread so far into DLC, but all of them are currently on sale until presumably the same date (minus the Eradication Pack on the basis of it being released yesterday), and you can buy the Complete Edition for 44% off during this time.
Car Mechanic Simulator 2018

Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 has over 50,000 reviews, of which 90% of them are positive, making it one of the most successful mechanic simulator games on the platform. As you would expect, it's all about taking cars apart and putting them back together, but the amount of depth that goes into all of the car parts is something that needs to be seen to believe. It's really no wonder that the Car Mechanic Simulator series continues as it does today.
The base game is currently free until May 27. None of the DLC are on sale at the moment, but the Garage Customization and Tuning DLCs are always free.
