Pokemon GO's June Community Day Details Revealed

Published 14 hours ago by

We've got fresh details on the upcoming Pokemon GO community day event arriving towards the end of next month, June 20, 2026. Let's see what's coming!

Frigibax Frequency

If you're looking to catch yourself a Frigibax, good news! This Pokemon will be appearing more frequently out in the wild and the chance of catching it as a shiny? That's a nice increase in chances! Special backgrounds will also be easier to find as well.

Players that evolve Arctibax during the event, or up to the usual four hours afterward, will receive a Baxcalibur that knows the featured attack, Glaive Rush.

Glaive Rush is a Dragon move which has 90 Power during Trainer Battles and 150 when you're in Gyms and Raids.

More Bonuses During Community Day

You can also expect the usual double Candy bonuses and of course, triple Stardust on all your catches, making community day a must participate for those keeping up with Pokemon GO. If you're over level 31, you can also expect to see a double chance of obtaining XL Candy, which is pretty sweet.

Here's a list of everything you can expect:

  • Increased Frigibix spawns

  • 3× Stardust for catching Pokémon

  • 2× Catch Candy

  • 2× Chance to get Candy XL (Level 31+)

  • 3 hour Incense

  • 1 hour Lure Modules (but larger Frigibax chance at stops with them)

  • Trades will require 50% less Stardust

  • 1 additional Special Trade for the day

Upcoming Community Vote

Last year there was a vote for August's community event, and Niantic has stated that the same option will be available this year.

This time around, there are four Pokemon to choose from: Tadbulb, Nickit, Fidough, and Yamper. Players will be able to vote via the official Pokemon GO YouTube channel, via a poll, and voting will be available between May 30 at 6 PM PT and May 31 at 6 PM PT. Everyone will only get one vote.

Which we should also mention, July is going to be the 10th anniversary of Pokemon GO. Where has the time gone?
