Erenshor's 'Planar March' Update Brings Solo MMO Raiding to Steam With Four New Raid Zones

The wait is over - The Planar March, the largest content update ever released for the singleplayer "simulated MMORPG" Erenshor, went live on Steam this morning, launching at 10:00 AM Eastern on July 13th, 2026 alongside a 15% discount on the full game. Now is a great time to play a classic MMO raiding experience without ever needing another human to log in.

What is The Planar March?

Designed to recreate the thrill of classic MMORPG raiding without requiring other players, the Planar March dramatically expands Erenshor's endgame. It bundles in four new raid zones, more than 20 unique boss encounters, new progression systems, and over 120 pieces of new gear to collect. They have also dropped a brand new launch trailer showing off the scale of it all, including massive raid encounters, new environments, powerful enemies, and coordinated battles alongside Erenshor's signature SimPlayers.

How do you raid without other players?

This is the clever part. Unlike traditional MMOs, Erenshor lets players experience epic raids entirely by themselves. Using the game's handcrafted AI-powered "SimPlayers", you can build your ideal raid group, tackle complex boss mechanics, and earn increasingly powerful loot - all without waiting for a guild to log in.

That solo-first philosophy has been Erenshor's calling card since it hit Early Access. Its SimPlayers level alongside the player, form parties, join guilds, acquire gear, and continue their own adventures throughout the world, creating the illusion of an active MMO without requiring an internet connection or other human players.

Beautiful.

What's included in the update?

  • Four brand new raid zones

  • 21 unique raid bosses with mechanics inspired by classic MMORPG bosses

  • Over 120 new equippable items, plus new spells and skills

  • A new Raid UI for organizing and commanding SimPlayers

  • Raid progression with tiered difficulty and increasingly powerful rewards

  • Cosmetic equipment slots (transmog)

  • Improved loot systems, quality of life upgrades, balance improvements, and numerous gameplay enhancements

  • Roughly 30-40 hours of new content for average players, with considerably more for completionists

What does this mean for Erenshor's future?

Since launching into Early Access, Erenshor has earned praise for its unique take on the MMORPG genre, delivering the feeling of exploring a living online world while remaining a completely singleplayer experience. The Planar March represents Erenshor's biggest milestone to date, and it brings players one step closer to the game's full 1.0 release.

Official Patch Notes

Quote From Erenshor

Raids are here!

4 new raid zones

  • Brax’s Plane of Elements

  • Fernalla’s Plane of The Willow

  • Vitheo’s Plane of Honor

  • Soluna’s Celestial Plane

-The items needed to access raids are already live in game. Do you have yours?

-21 new bosses with new mechanics

-130+ new items, spells, skills

-Start and End raids via the Guild UI

-Save and Load raid configs in the Raid UI

-Set your ‘A Team’ in Guild UI. These characters will be automatically added to any raid you begin

Gameplay
-SimPlayers now use food and water

-SimPlayers will disperse though Port Azure when you take your group there. You can call them back with “Follow” or by leaving

-The “jump” in Stowaway’s Step to the watchlight area is drastically easier

-Greatly reduced 'knockback and push' on melee abilities, so fighting enemies should not result in moving all the way across a room over time.

-Combining stacks of Planar Shards takes a lot of clicks. There is now an NPC near the forge in Port Azure who will bulk combine for you, at a slightly worse rate than 8 : 1 for shards -> stones.

-More "breadcrumbs" pointing players to important questlines

SimPlayers

-Massive improvements to class AI for most classes, outlined below.

Auction House

-Rewrote a lot of auction house scripts to make listings more consistent. As a result, any items you have listed will be lost on this patch. Empty your auction houses before it goes live!

UI

-New loot distribution UI (Raids and Group)

-New cosmetic inventories for both SimPlayers and Player are now available

-SimPlayer inspect window now offers tabs for Ascensions, Known Spells, and Cosmetics
-Shift + Click will now Quick Bank, Quick Sell, Quick Trade, etc.

-Floating Lifebars added above all NPCs (togglable in Options)

-Floating Target indicators added to all NPCs (togglable in Options)

-Target ring now indicates which direction NPC is facing

-Extended target window added

-In-game DPS meter accuracy greatly increased

Quests

-Many of the more ‘important’ quests have more clues pointing players towards their starting locations

Reaver

Reavers are a tough balancing act. In this patch they have become a little bit less effective with their DPS, and a little bit more effective as a tank. They can combine both roles with specific stances now.

-Hateful Stance added: +Defense, +Taunt (Dropped in Abyssal). SimPlayers will get this automatically.

-Mitigation cap raised from 70% of incoming damage to 77%

-Reckless Stance removed

-Reckless Strike added

-Spell: Sivakaya's Dismay added (Resist and Armor debuff)

Windblade

Windblades have regularly strugged to fill their role. This patch allows them to be a more effective DPS class with some built in utility.

-Added "Vitheo's Sight" spell line: A mixture of sold and dropped spells. Increases Windblades attack roll bonus drastically. SimPlayers autolearn most of this spell line.

-Windblades now have a small chance to ignore any level difference (if they're below their target level) while calculating melee damage

-A lot of Windblade damage was not properly captured by the in-game DPS meter. This is resolved.

-SimPlayer Windblades win "most improved" for this patch, as they're much better about using backstab on cooldown and other debuffs.

Druid

Druids are Erenshor's primary healers, but previously healing spells scaled so hard that the decision on how to build and which to use was pretty meaningless.

-Druids now get more healing power from wisdom

-Added "Florablast" - a heal spell that drops off mobs in Jaws of Sivakaya. SimPlayers will auto-learn this spell.

Arcanist

Arcanists currently have a tough mid-game, which is being looked into actively at this point and will be adjusted through iterations on this patch. They are still masters of crowd control and at max build, they are Erenshor's highest DPS classes.

-Brax Aura V has been changed in-game to Aura of Arcanism (it was never meant to be available yet). A new Brax Aura V item has been introduced elsewhere.

-Controlled chant scales a little bit more in the Arcanist favor.

Stormcaller

Stormcallers are still bursty magic / physical hybrid classes. No major changes or skills have been added outside of the raid setting for Stormcallers. Some scaling on bow damage and magic damage have changed but the class plays just about the same.

-SimPlayer Stormcallers are better about deciding when to cast and when to imbue arrows.

Paladin

Erenshor's most utility-based class has not changed drastically in this patch. Paladins are still the best at taking damage and debuffing opponents so their groups can deal maximum DPS.

-Paladins "Celestial Smite" line has been increased. The current version in game is now Celestial Smite II. Ranks 1 and 3 have been added to a vendor, and as a raid drop respectively.

-SimPlayer Paladins will be better about spell rotations.

Spells and Skills

-Healing spells rebalanced, now weights wisdom more heavily in scaling, and less weight on level

-More healing spells added to fill in gaps (one drops in jaws, simplayers auto-learn)

-Reckless Stance removed

-Reckless Strike added - high damage targeted attack, scales off stances

-Hateful stance added (Drop, Abyssal Lake): Defense and Aggro gen combined

-Added Windblade Spell Line (Vitheo's Sight: Self buff + attack roll bonus + armor pen). Found at spell vendors and dropped by higher level encounters

-Paladin Celestial Smite line adjusted:
Celestial Smite → Celestial Smite 2
Celestial Smite I added to vendor
Celestial Smite III drops in raid content

-Many new spells and skills added in raid content

Improved Items

-Items can now drop as standard or with a bonus ranging from +1 to +5

-Any non-blessed (not blue) and not-ascended (purple) item can be combined in a forge with a Merging Vessel bought from the oddities vendor to improve it

All Items

-Lifesteal numbers reduced across the board, lifesteal will be harder to come by

-Many 2h weapons have been slightly rebalanced for attack ratios.

-High end pre-raid Windblade items have had some changes. The goal is to make Lux pre-raid BIS, then Cryptid Claws / Apotheosis as good secondary choices.

-Increased damage of many mid-game duelist weapons

-Removed Stormcallers from most 1h weapons

-Magical bag now immediately opens bank instead of summoning an NPC

-Added Ethereal Vaults: Obtainable via quests around Erenshor that will give one time access to your bank per use.

-Food and Water bonuses now scale with level, so lower levels will see less benefit and higher levels will see more benefit from using these buffs

-Sivakruxes are more commonly dropped and sell for substantially less than before

-Planar stones sell value is drastically reduced

-120+ new equippable items added in raid content

Reliquary

-Forge now available (Sold at Furniture Vendor)

-Other forges available in game as drops

-If you’ve done the “Faded Entries” questline from early game dungeons, be SURE to re-read the Treasure Hunter’s Journal where that quest ended

Combat

-Enemies move far less during combat due to jolts and kicks, so you should have to reposition less often

-Due to improved SimPlayer AI and player power creep, many monsters have also been exercising and may be a bit tougher

-High end pre-raid bosses have been modified:

-Astra: Slightly harder

-Siraethe: Harder

-Wardwarped Alpha: Harder

-Blight Wyrm: Substantially harder

-Fallen Fernalla: Slightly easier

-Azynthian Keeper & Shadow fight: Slightly easier

-Moved Spectral Strike and Powerful blow text out of Battle Mechanic text as they are pretty standard attacks

-Astra’s AE now grows over time

-Fallen Fernalla’s final phase AE got a damage increase, but less spell resist penetration. Should make it a smoother experience for prepared players

Bugs: -Fixed a lot of them. Made a lot of them, and hopefully fixed those too.
