Farming Simulator 25 Heads to South America With the Beans & Alpacas Expansion

GIANTS Software has announced Beans & Alpacas, a brand-new expansion for Farming Simulator 25 that takes players off to a warm and fertile new farming region in South America, the publisher revealed today, July 14, 2026. Built around coffee estates, this one adds fresh crops, machines, animals and more to the sim.

What's new in Catuai?

The expansion introduces Catuai, described as a warm and fertile region in South America that serves as the home of alpacas and Arabica coffee. Coffee is the star crop here, and it runs on its own seasonal rhythm.

  • Coffee beans can be planted starting from September, with red coffee cherries ready for harvest in May

  • Alpacas can be sheared for wool and led on a leash to increase their happiness

  • Brahman cows graze nearby to round out the livestock lineup

  • New production chains and products from crops and animals let farmers boost their profits

What does the region look like?

The team is calling Catuai "a hint of Brazil, with rivers & red soil," and the design certainly backs that up. The region is characterised by rolling hills, lower mountain slopes and dense, humid vegetation, with a winding river reminiscent of the Amazon cutting through it. The architecture is inspired by Brazil, with stilt houses lining the shore alongside plantations, narrow roads and colourful rural houses, shops and depots.

There's a lot of new scenery to dig into, too. The expansion adds a record number of new buildings and decorations, including six houses with full interiors and dozens of environment-specific placeables. Landscapers can even discover dinosaur bones and collect them in a museum.

How many new machines are there?

Beans & Alpacas packs in more than two dozen machines from a stacked lineup of real-world brands.

  • Over 25 new machines from brands including Case IH, Ford, John Deere, KUHN, Mercedes-Benz Trucks, New Holland, Oxbo, Stara, Valtra, and more

  • Colombo Industries joins the series as a new brand, adding equipment suited to the new region and farming activities

  • New sugarcane foliage and effects

  • Enhanced animations and visual effects for ground tools

  • Additional fieldwork detail

GIANTS says more information on the expansion, including further features, will be announced soon.

When does Beans & Alpacas release?

Farming Simulator 25 is available for PC, Mac, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Beans & Alpacas will be available on October 27 as a separate expansion or as an edition including the base game, with pre-orders available on selected channels. The expansion is also included in the Year 2 Season Pass, with savings of up to 30% compared to buying the content separately. GIANTS will also keep rolling out free content updates and user-generated content on the official ModHub.
