Our First Look at Gameplay for Warlock, the new Dungeons & Dragons Single-Player Game

Warlock was originally revealed during The Game Awards in 2025, but we knew basically nothing about the game other than the fact that it exists. We saw an initial teaser trailer which contained the main character and a couple of monsters, but this might as well be a new game announcement with how little we knew about the game in The Game Awards trailer.

Revealed at Gamescom was the first time we got to see gameplay of the game and what Kaatri is capable of doing with her new magic in this open-world third-person action-adventure game, as she takes a pact to wield dark magic.

In the trailer, we can see that Kaatri is able to use a form of telekinesis as seen below, and the ability to create anchor points for objects to attach to, as well as the ability to lunge forward in mid-air, create threads to pull objects, magically swap places with enemies, and much more.

Kaatri will also wield a sword with her to use in brutal swordplay, although it seems she can also magically augment it in ways like this. Combine your newfound dark magic and your prowess in melee in exciting ways to take down enemies and solve problems.

Warlock is coming out in 2027, although no specific date other than the year is mentioned.
