Did you know that Minecraft is the second highest-selling video game of all time? This year, it reached 400 million units sold. That's nearly 5% of the entire Earth population in numbers of Minecraft units. In reality, it's not quite that many people who play it because lots of people invariably buy multiple copies of the game, and lots of people stop playing the game. Obviously, lots of people die too, and lots of people get born. That influences the statistics quite a bit.
Still, it's arguably the most popular video game all of time. While it didn't create the PvE Survival Crafting genre, it single-handedly caused the genre to skyrocket to new heights that it never had before. Something as successful as Minecraft will come with a lot of people trying to capitalize on that same success.
That's where the PvE Survival Crafting Fest on Steam comes into play. Until September 7, you can buy PvE Survival Crafting games at prices that are, shall I say, not very resource intensive?
Now you can't actually buy Minecraft on Steam. But you can buy some games that are a bit like it. Other games that put you in an open world of lush forests, barren deserts, and rocky mountains, while you gather items, build shelter, and kill some monsters that want to hurt you for some reason. Why? I don't know. What did I ever do to them?
Maybe they might hate you if you take advantage of the deal without telling them that there's one. It's only up for a week, so you can't take too long to gather your monetary resources to spend them on a new item: The new game(s) you're be buying.
Will you pick something up from the Fest? Are there any other deals you want people to know about? Let us know in the comments below.
