Mario Kart World's 1.8 Update Adds SNES Tracks to VS Mode & 2 New Rally Routes

Nintendo showcased a new update in today's direct for Mario Kart World and it's releasing... now!

The new update adds new courses to the VS Mode. If you've been around the world, you've likely noticed the references sprinkled throughout featuring iconic tracks from the Mario Kart origins on the Super Nintendo. Well, these tracks are now playable!

Download the update today to get access to playing them inside of VS Mode. They appear with the "SNES" tag in the track list to let you know you're playing these smaller, full tracks in more of a Grand Prix mode.

There are 10 total SNES courses available and yes, the ? Panels are also active during races to get your precious items to cause chaos on the track. Nintendo has also announced the addition of two new routes in the Knockout Tour mode.
