Along with a new name, there will be 15 minutes of gameplay showcased this coming Tuesday, on June 11th!
Here is the full quote:
Hi everyone,
Summer is nearly upon us, and as promised, we’re ready to provide an update on our big reveal. We’d like to invite the world to join us on Tuesday, June 11, for the official first look at gameplay for the next Dragon Age!
After Dragon Age: Inquisition launched, the studio was given an incredible opportunity to explore, test, and validate a variety of gameplay concepts as we worked to determine what the next Dragon Age could look like. We brought everything to the table which, yes, even included a multiplayer concept. The time we spent experimenting and iterating gradually taught us a lot. This work, and the amazing support from EA, helped us re-focus on creating an incredible single player game, with all the choices, characters and world building you’d expect from us.
At BioWare, we create worlds of adventure, conflict and companionship, where you’re at the center of it all. As fans of our franchise know, every Dragon Age game has delivered a new standalone story. Set in the world of Thedas, these tales explore epic locales and threats, always thrusting you into a new conflict. Each game also introduces a new lead hero – The Warden, Hawke, The Inquisitor – that you can call your own. You can expect all that, and more, with the new game. And of course, much like your unique hero, it wouldn’t be a Dragon Age game without an amazing cast of companions – right?
Each of the seven unique characters that make up your companions will have deep and compelling storylines where the decisions you make will impact your relationships with them – as well as their lives. You’ll unite this team of unforgettable heroes as you take on a terrifying new threat unleashed on the world. Naturally, the Dread Wolf still has an important part in this tale, but you and your companions – not your enemies – are the heart of this new experience.
So, to capture what this game is all about, we changed the name as the original title didn’t show just how strongly we feel about our new heroes, their stories and how you’ll need to bring them together to save all of Thedas.
We proudly introduce to you Dragon Age™: The Veilguard.![]()
We know you’ve been waiting a long time for this reveal and we’re so ready to show you what we’ve been up to. We’ll see you on Tuesday, June 11th at 8:00am PT at the Dragon Age YouTube channel with over 15 minutes of gameplay from the opening moments of the game that has you jumping back into Thedas on your new adventure.
This moment means so much to everyone at BioWare, and we wouldn’t be here without you. We’re ready to have some fun, so join the chat early…we’ve got a few special surprises for you.
Thank you for all your support. See you soon,
Gary McKay
Executive Producer, Dragon Age, and General Manager, BioWare
A remake of Yooka-Laylee was just announced during the Guerrilla Collective stream. Titled Yooka-Replaylee (have fun Googling that), it has high-quality graphics, remixed levels, a map, and a lot more.

Hi Guys! I have made a decent guild, we are around 10.000 point in 1,5 day. Currently 14/15 slot, because I always leave 1 spot open. I looking for active members and I can free slot more, instead of 2 guys who ignoring the rules.…

My RCT1 playthrough is still present and I'm extremely close to finishing it, but it's taken a back seat because I've taken up playing Enderal again.
I am excited for Showdown in the Badlands. Might actually end up playing in this set this time. Once my PS5 gets set up in my new place again, I'm hoping to check out the update for GT7. I'm really excited to see the new snow track and the Master License.

Skipped September for some reason: probably because I was completely stressed out of my mind so remembering to post about this escaped out the back door lol.
Like I said back in August, I've still been all over the damn place when it comes to partially-completing games. Add Sea of Stars, Relic Hunters Legend, and (sadly) Baldur's Gate III to the list of stuff that has been started but not finished. I might need some ADHD medication - or my life stressors to stabilize at the very least - so I can find the motivation or whatever to play a game from start to finish.
Currently, I am back to playing Hearthstone (sigh), as well as a second playthrough of Elden Ring; this time with a keyboard + mouse on Steam. Blocking feels easier on KBM, so I'm gonna give shields a fair shake - I quickly dropped them on the PS5 and resigned myself to dodging everything. It's been an easier experience so far, although some of that could be explained away via the knowledge already gained from playing through it the first time.
Of course, whether or not I finish this Elden Ring playthrough is another question, with Marvel's Spider-Man 2 coming on the 20th! Super excited to play that, so everything else might end up on the backburner yet-again.
What're you playing currently? Anything new you look forward to playing this month?

Time for another installment where we talk about the games we've been playing! This time, it's the month of August (July? Never heard of it).
Throughout July, I was partially completing all sorts of stuff, losing momentum as my priorities shifted to the next thing and the next thing after that. Patapon 2 Remastered, God of War: Ragnarok, Final Fantasy XVI, Theatrhythm Final Bar Line, a (fourth?) playthrough of Final Fantasy X; all of them have been started and yet none of these games are finished. Not sure what it is that's keeping me from seeing them through.
As for August, I (im)patiently await Baldur's Gate III tomorrow, so I can work on our guide and then maybe actually play the damn thing myself! Steam says I have 20 hours of Early Access playtime, but that's been basically me camped in the character creator pouring over the information (or just "AFK" while I'm writing in the guide); I haven't even watched the intro cinematic! D:

The patch brings support for the "Pyra" and "Mythra" Amiibos, among other things. Fun fact: At version 2.1.0, the game is in the exact same version as Xenoblade Chronicles II.

As of writing, a new patch was rolled out for The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, putting the game on version 4.04 and offering a rather long list of bug fixes and improvements to the game.

I'll get things started off for June 2023.
I've been dabbling in Path of Exile, aiming to get some more seasonal challenges done while we wait for Exilecon to announce the new season (and more PoE 2 info). I also recently was playing Diablo 4, though didn't really enjoy the experience (it will be better in a couple years certainly).
I've also had an opportunity to check out the new F1 23 game which feels like a solid improvement over F1 22. The new lighting looks fantastic and all the cars look better too. Small UI updates and overall better menu flow makes navigating with a steering wheel better. Regretfully I didn't get to write up a review for the game yet.
I'm hoping to get a chance to login to World of Warcraft Classic over the next couple of weeks since Midsummer Fire Festival is taking place and those achievements will be needed for that sweet Violet Proto-Drake =D
Also that Final Fantasy demo is calling my name. This weekend was absolute chaos though so I didn't get a chance to touch it.
The news just dropped, and once again I am curious as how players (especially those who migrated to FF14) will take this from the last few expansions, which is honestly, quite bad in a lot of things. I would already list some of them, but …

What do you guys think? Any of you still believe this will turn everything good again?
Me personally doubting that. Especially later when facing the first obstacle which has always been massive bugs.

Greetings there! I am coming with something a bit different, after watching a fair bit of Solem playing niche card games, and also being a player of a few like Duelyst and Faeria. It's a concept of my own Collectible Card Game with the placeholder name Cyber Zone.

This picture shows what would separate my game from other card games. It has some elements of a Tower Defense game, played on a 8x5 grit (size subjective to change).
Troops are one of two minion types, marked by a beige dot, used to be summoned on your opponent's board, and once they reach the Nexus, they damage the opposing player for their Attack damage. They move one tile forward each turn. Heroes have 15 Health for now.
Turrets are the other minion type, marked by a dark blue dot, used to be summoned on your own board to prevent the enemy troops from reaching your Nexus. They can attack in straight lines as shown on the picture, but some will be able to bend those rules.
The yellow lines indicate how far and in which directions a turret can attack. On average, they can attack within a 3x3 area around themselves, like how King moves in Chess, and fire in straight lines. This picture shows an example card (Spiteful Flame Sentry) and from how afar it can attack the beige dot when positioned correctly, albeit my bad for slight misleading. The example cards are shown below (with obvious placeholder art and prototype covers).

Sentry Icon - for Turret cards. They can be only placed close to your track unless specified.
Solider Icon - for Troop cards. They come out of the Portal a turn after you play it.
Crystal Icon - for Pylon cards. These are like your Hero Powers that start in your hand like Quests. They can't be placed near the track, though, but can be placed everywhere.
Battery Icon - for Action cards. These are the equivalent of spells. For now, they are split by the same speed pattern from Legends of Runeterra (ignore Force Barrier and its inconsistent wording plz). Traps give a secret bonus to a tile of your choice, triggered when an enemy troop steps on it. They are always of Sharp speed, or otherwise Focus like in Exhaust.
Gear Icon - for Gear cards. These are the equivalent of weapons. You equip them on turrets. They have Attack and Durability.
There are six factions, five of which you can see on example cards (Fire, Thunder, Sun, Snowflake, Plasma) - the Squirrel's one is Neutral. Also, there are four rarities - Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary (may change names or add Mythic for Pylons).
Turn starts draw you a card, give a Crystal (Mana Crystal, up to 10) and move your Troops one tile. You start with 1 Crystals, and the player going second may get an equivalent to Coin.
There would be a casual gameplay mode, split into the equivalent of Hearthstone's Classic (only base set cards) and with all cards, and Ranked with all cards, MAYBE split into Standard and Wild once enough cards are created to warrant the separation.
Monetization system should be similar to LoR, as... come on, it's clearly the best and most f2p friendly so far on the market, so why not use it?

Do any fellow Out Cards friends interest in this game that finally comes officially to the other parts of the world ?
I was waiting for this game so long. Gave it a shot in Russian server a bit and then i left it to actually begin it in global release and now I wonder maybe someone here also wants to play this game and maybe we can group up there.
So anyone ? :)

Hello,
hope you are keeping well and safe!
(apologies in advance posting here, but clearly Custom section and no thread available for Custom - Other. thank you for your understanding!)
I would like to recommend a new card game that plays very much like a RPG, and thus a good adaptation for Board Games.
Imagine all those RPG that you love; the excitement with real-time combat, and the strategic reward in making the right choice at the right time!
Of having the different classes and capitalising on their strengths in battle?
The anticipation of all happening simultaneously while you have nanoseconds to decide and make the next move…
But what if you had a card game that could emulate this unique experience?
“LoF: Card Tales” aims to do just that.
I am currently working on the game with very limited available publicly, but ready to demo the game if anyone would like to try. Please note I'm not looking to monetise this, just trying to bring a new Game to the fore!
Reach out on the threadOr message me directly with your interest and we can setup a Demo.
Here's how I genuinely see the game; happy to take critics once you try it out!
Card Structure link
Some of the issues addressed, making ‘LoF: Card Tales’ a unique TCG, are:
- No mana screw / mana flood
- Truly countless strategies, with no genuine power creep, as each Hero (3 per game) have their inherent strengths and weaknesses – irrespective of what cards you play
- Realistic opportunity to play all cards of your deck (all you assembled to use), minimising chance of not ever getting to see the best cards
- Game turns happen simultaneously, without the drawback of cards not impacting gameplay. Also, a game cannot drag endlessly as there are limited turns to test your wits.
- Rather than Card Quantity, there is a focus on Card Quality so that all players can be on par at a start of a Game and enjoy putting their Heroes to the test
See you on the battlefield!

Just curious to see if anyone else is looking forward to this. Other than Hearthstone, Diablo II is the only game I ever played in my adult life - an impulse buy for the first pc I ever owned that turned into an addictive, immersive gameplay experience. I have a lot of good memories of triggering multiple corpse explosions with my bonemancer. I never buy games, but seriously contemplating picking up a copy of this when it comes out so I can relive those memories :)

I am on a project about a custom in-game RPG for Hearthstone.
I played WoW for so less time(like about 35-40 lvls) and these are only with two or three classes. I need an expert help for resource mechanics like mana, energy, focus and such.
I know the basic mechanics but when it is come to Combo points like rogues have or Runes of Death Knights, my experience in wow isn't enough to create new mechanics for my game mode because I don't even know if there are another mechanics like these for other classes.
I only know about;
Rage for Warriors, Druids*Bear form,
Focus for Hunter and some pets,
Energy and Combo Points for Rogue, Druids*Cat form
Mana for General,
Runes for Death Knights.
Both would be so helpful that If you answer here; or direct me to the some resource about these mechanics around web. The websites I have found about these are either old or guides about how to play the game and what is efficient in the way you are leveling so If you direct me a website, what I need is a resource that introduces the game mechanics for who doesn't know anything about WoW. Guides are mostly for people who knows the game's mechanics and what is the efficient way to play.
https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Resource
This is the resource I am using right now, but need further information about their generation/regeneration rates etc.
Thanks for your help in advance.
